THANKS
We would like to publicly thank some people who made this winter so enjoyable for us.  They are in no particular order except maybe when we saw them.
Jerry and Mary Milan from Lowell, MI.  We met them out west one year and shared a table on St Patrick's Day with them.
Phil and Joyce Bach from Martinez, CA  We met them at our home park 2 years ago and have been good friends ever since.
Terry and Diana Brown and Roy and Maryann Parent.  Sisters and their husbands, also from Michigan, who we met at Catalina Spa, our homepark.
Walt and Kathy Werden from Norway, MI.  They surprised us by showing up in Yuma unexpectedly.
Ed and Maxine Rocheleau from Manteca, CA                 It's always good to see you guys again.
Bob and Jayce Dale from Iron Mountain.  Another retired fireman who we see every year out here as well as at home.
Thanks again guys it's really been a hoot seeing y'all.  Until next year.

Weather.........or not
We knew we were walking a tightrope with the weather on the way home this year.  We would be traveling a northerly route and the possibility of being held up by the weather was a real concern.
By the time we left Casa Grande, AZ they were predicting nice weather but windy for the next 2 days.  It was nice all right. Nice and windy.  We ran into a full blown sandstorm by the time we hit Chinle, AZ in the Northeast corner of the state, near 4 Corners.  The next day in Cortez, CO the forecast was changed for snow to be coming in the next 3 days.  These were the days that we needed to be nice because we would be traveling through 2 mountain passes.  While we saw snow on the sides of the road, nothing fell from the sky until we were on our way down from the second pass.  By the time we hit the bottom it was rain.
The next couple of days were predicted to have rain and we certainly chased the clouds around the sky.  It finally caught up to us in Scott's Bluff, NE where the bluffs were engulfed in fog.  From then on we were driving in patches of rain all across Nebraska and Iowa, but it could have been worse.

Cut That Out
We had to skip a couple of Wild and Scenic River sites on our way home this year.  We told my sister Marge when we would be arriving in Racine this year and we were coming up a day short no matter how we cut it.  We needed to get back on our schedule so the easiest way to do that was to eliminate a couple of stops on the way.  By cutting out a couple of stops it will give us something to come back to this area for.  Even though it was Nebraska, we usually never miss a chance to travel the backroads to see something special.

It's Time !
You can tell it's time to go home when the "togetherness" is causing you and your mate to have the same thoughts.  You mention an original idea only to find out when you say it, your mate was just thinking the same thought 30 seconds ago.
We enjoy being alone together in our 36' motorhome for 5 months, but there comes a time when you need your own space.
Getting out of the shower, with my naked wet body, and trying to sneak past Bill, while he's sitting on the John just one more morning.........Well, I won't say more.........IT'S TIME.
