As depicted by the graphics on this page, we will again be shooting tons of pictures this year. Last year the count was approximately 1200 - 35 mm photos and about 3 hours of videotape. We weren't bashful about visiting the National Parks and Monuments we encountered along the way. This year we may not visit as many parks along the way as we have in other years, but we will still be taking pictures of friends. Some day I hope to edit all that videotape we've taken.

I'd have to report that the trip here was pretty uneventful if you forget about the unintentional side trip toward downtown Madison, the flat tire, missing a couple of exits, the accident in Lake Havasu City, noisy truckstops, and a couple of other minor things. We did not encounter any snow however, which was a good thing.
While most of the above things are self explanatory, the accident is not. While pulling into a parking lot for groceries in Lake Havasu, I forgot to put the motorhome in park. Needless to say, everything
rolled backward into Len and Rose behind us. The cop who came to investigate was happy we knew each other, and were not in a fightin" mood when he got there.
Our campsites here at Tyson Wells in Quartzsite were still open and we moved right in. The weather yesterday was 79 degrees and sunny. This will be hard to take. I had to stay out of the sun yesterday to keep from getting sunburned.
The trip was 2,259.2 miles in 5 days. We stayed in one campground, in Amarillo, to flush and fill with water. Our sites here are EWS for the next 30 days.
