The first thing on the agenda this morning was to move campground. We had to get over to Catalina Spa in order to have a two week spell where we’d stay put, so Sharon wouldn’t have to move the motorhome for two weeks.
By late afternoon it was time to head out for the hospital. I think I said last time that I’d never go to Eisenhower Emergency ever again. It’s a great hospital but they’re Emergency Room sucks. After 7 hours we found out I’d be admitted so Sharon went home. It took them another hour and a half to get me up to a room. It was not a pleasant experience. And then from 4:30 on they were drawing blood, doing tests and just generally keeping me awake.

I woke up this morning physically exhausted. I don’t think Sharon was much better off than I was, but at least she was at home. She showed up early this morning with everything she thought I might need, including the computer. I guess my situations are getting way too predictable.
I spent almost all day today laying in bed and being pumped full of antibiotics. I starting feeling better as I got more sleep. By Suppertime I was disappointed in the food. It wasn’t like I remembered it from two years ago. Maybe it can be attributed to bad memory.
By tonight I was still so wasted that I slept through 3 of my favorite shows. I think I should be feeling quite a bit better by tomorrow.

Indeed I was starting to return to normal this morning as I had a good night’s sleep for a change.
Sharon stopped over today in the morning and by the time she left I was feeling pretty good. I had already heard from my doctor I’d be going home tomorrow sometime. And in fact it’ll probably be sometime in the morning.
This afternoon I had a horrendous time. I had lab techs that had to search for veins which is always painful when you get somebody incompetent. By evening I had to ask a nurse to search for a deep vein in my forearm so they wouldn’t have to put an IV in the back of my left hand. This has been a harrowing experience in the last 24 hours.
I was OK to sit up tonight and watch a few shows on TV. There were a couple of good ones on but they come on so late here. The cable is on Pacific Daylight Time.
I did have a problem going to sleep tonight so I was up until 12:30 anyway.

Today was “escape the asylum” day for me. My doctor was in to see me early and Sharon had already planned to be over here by 10 just in case. Sharon was here right on time and we were out the door by 10 to 10.
The weather was already getting warm as it has for the last month here. We stopped at Walgreen’s on the way home before we went to McDonald’s for our lunch.
After we got home, I spent the afternoon and night, in my recliner, with my foot elevated, as instructed for the swelling. I got to watch my TV shows at the correct time and we were ready for bed at the right hour.

Sharon was up and off with the laundry this morning. It was going to be a hot one today and she wanted to get it over early. She was back in a couple of hours around noon but then she was off again to do some grocery shopping in town.
By the time she got back she started cooking and making Pizza Casserole. It got tremendously warm in the coach, from all the cooking, and I suggested we leave and go out for a sandwich and come back when it’s cooler. She went along with it, so we went to Carl’s Jr. for Fish Tacos.
It was much cooler and more comfortable by the time we got back. We camped out in front of the tube for the night. With me having to sit with my leg propped up I don’t really have many options.
We called it a night about 10:30 tonight.

I had another miserable night last night. As soon as I try to lie down the coughing starts. And in order not to keep Sharon up I get up myself. Actually last night I came out onto my recliner and as soon as I fell asleep I went immediately to bed. I managed to sleep the rest of the night at least until 5.
It was going to be a scorcher today and I’d be confined again to the inside of the motorhome all day. But as long as the air conditioning holds out I’ll be fine.
We ate the infamous Pizza Casserole, for supper, that Sharon made the other day that heated up the motorhome to about 90 degrees. She wanted to make some garlic bread and I waved it off. It didn’t need to be any hotter in here, than it was, while we ate. The casserole was great, just like I remembered it would be.
We were in for another night of exciting TV tonight. It was Saturday and we’re right in the middle of the re-run season. We just toughed our way through the whole thing tonight. I wandered off to bed early while Sharon stayed up so she wouldn’t have to listen to my coughing. She just had to listen to it out here instead of in there.

Sharon was up and off to church this morning early. She mst have had some shopping to do and that’s why she left early. I settled in front of the TV to catch my Sunday morning political shows.
There had been so many Sundays without Tamales that I was quite surprised when Sharon showed up with them today. I sat down for lunch with three of the 9 she bought, and they were very good. We’ll have the other 6 for Supper sometime this week.
There wasn’t much for me to do since I’m not allowed in the pool til I’m done with my medication. Sharon took off for the pool for a little while this afternoon. I stayed home and worked on what might be my last Newsletter.
After Sharon got home from the pool she whipped up our supper. We were having a pre-cooked deli chicken along with fried potatoes and peas. It was all quite good for a”fling together” supper.
After Dinner tonight we had a couple of good shows on but mostly not much to speak of. I went to bed early again tonight. This time my plan worked. I was asleep by the time Sharon got there.
