We were up a little early today but definitely not rarin’ to go.  I was still feeling under the weather for the 3 straight day.  I know now that it’s just an allergy attack, so I’ll fill myself up with antihistamines and just wait it out.  It seems like we both just get this THING every year that we’re out here.  Sharon was sick last week and now it’s my turn.
I was perfectly happy to just sit around and watch tv for the day, even though it was quite boring.  I managed to find enough news shows to get me through the morning.
This afternoon Sharon came in from sitting outside and stitching and informed me that she was going to take a nap.  So she had obviously decided that she would not go to the pool this afternoon.  She certainly had not decided to stay home because of the weather.  It was and has been a lovely day from early this morning.
By the time Sharon got up from her nap it was almost time for Supper.  We both decided that we would have Polish Sausage and Macaroni and Cheese for our Dinner tonight.  It would be easy to cook and quick to put on the table.  That’s pretty much all that I was looking for tonight.
After Dinner, we settled into our usual positions for the night of spectacular entertainment via the Network offerings.  We ran out of shows tonight and didn’t even have enough taped to get us to 10:30.  It really didn’t matter as we both were ready for the sleepsack tonight.  Although I was feeling much better by tonight I’ll just have to wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Another lovely day presented itself today but it looks like it’ll be another “do nothing” day again for me.  I don’t know why it’s taking so long to shake this thing that’s got ahold of me, but I wake up in the morning feeling like a truck ran over me.  By the time I get to post-Breakfast I’m ready for a nap.  This has been my routine over the past 3-4 days.
Sharon took off on a walk up to the corner this morning.  It’s about a mile and a half to go up and back.  While she was gone I settled in for a short nap.  There was no point in me losing sleep cause she was out walking.
She was back again by lunchtime, But I didn’t feel like choking anything down in the form of food.  I passed on lunch and decided to wait until supper.  Although it didn’t seem like we would be having anything substantial tonight either.
Sharon took off for the pool early today and stayed all afternoon.  I managed to get in a full afternoon’s nap while she was gone.  By the time she got home at Suppertime she didn’t have to cook again because neither of us was hungry enough to eat a meal anyway.  We both fended for ourselves later on.
We assumed our usual positions and watched TV for the rest of the night.  We managed to find enough to watch by surfing and taping for the night.

I had a miserable night last night and woke up all dragged out.
We got up this morning to a very nice day expected to go into the high 80's.  The weather this year is about 15 degrees warmer than normal.  It sure seems to be warmer than normal because our air-conditioning is running at least part of the day, every day.
We took off for Taco Wednesday about noon today and when we got to the VFW  you could notice the reduction in the number of people there.  We actually predicted that the Canadian migration would start this week and it has.  It seems like it may be a little early this year but you never know exactly when it will start.
After we got home from lunch we sat around for awhile and then went to the pool for the afternoon.  Everybody mentioned that they hadn’t seen me for while which was true since I hadn’t been in the pool for about 4 days.  We hung around the pool til about 4:30 before we came back home again.
Neither of us was hungry for Supper so we just opted out of Dinner and decided to take care of ourselves.  We didn’t eat until later on and then we just snacked for the evening.
The DVR was working overtime tonight and we were playing catch-up for the entire evening.  We did manage to keep ourselves entertained for the evening.  We headed for the rack about 10:30.

Another nice day presented itself on the horizon this morning.  We had a plan to do some sightseeing today down in “Olde Town LaQuinta” We decided to go over there last week and since then I’ve been under the weather.  Our first problem is to find a place to have lunch as long as we were out and about.
We drove across the highway (I-10) to hwy 111 which runs all the way through the Desert Cities.  We were just looking for a place to have lunch when we came upon the Olive Garden.  We usually have the Soup and Salad Special when we got there but it’s not so special anymore.  They raised the price to $8.49.
We finished up at Olive Garden and headed further down the valley at least 15 miles.  We had never been to Olde Town before but we had heard about it through art Festival ads in the local valley newspapers.  When we arrived there it was a little disappointing because of the size.  It was thoroughly modern with stores built in the pueblo style, but it was only about 6 square blocks.  We never even got out of the car but enjoyed driving through the stores a couple of times.
On the way home I found Washington Street because I had promised Sharon a Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard for Valentine’s Day and we had to find the only DQ in the valley.  At least it’s the only one we could find on Google.
After Dairy Queen we hit the road again on the way home.  I got a cone so it was portable while I was driving.  We got home around suppertime and neither of us was hungry to eat anything.  We got home too late to go the pool but just in time to settle in for TV for the night.  We gave DVR a good run for the night tonight.  We were blessed to have the East/west networks tonight so we had time to record all the show we wanted to see.  We didn’t have enough time to watch them tonight so we have to catch up tomorrow.

The nice days are starting to string together and today looked like it could be added to the string. It would be into the 80's today with the sun shining and looking like an altogether beauty of a day.  I’m still not feeling up to snuff so I’ll still be siting around and pumping myself full of medication.
Sharon, on the other hand, took her usual walk up to the corner and around the stop sign.  By the time she got back she was pooped out.  Walking in the heat is not a good thing to do.  And walking at all is not my forte.  I was performing my usual duties while she was gone.........holding down the fort.
By lunchtime I had already decided that I wouldn’t be going to the pool.  Sharon took off and went to the pool, however.  I managed another nap today while she was gone.  When she got back she literally woke me up.
She had already made supper before she left for the pool.  We were having Shrimp Etouffee’ and Egg Rolls.  She told me that she had to make some adjustments in her recipe cause she didn’t have Cream of Chicken soup.  So it was made with Cream of Chicken and Rice Soup.  So the final product was Chicken, Rice and Shrimp Etouffee’. It tasted a little different than her regular Etouffee’ but it was still good.  I didn’t really have much of an appetite for anything, so as long as it tasted good I can always eat the leftovers.
We camped out in front of the tube tonight and got ready to watch a few of our favorite shows.  We still had programs from last night on the DVR so we’ll catch up on them also tonight.  We were still watching tonight at 10:30 when we decided to call it a night

I had another lousy night last night keeping everyone in the neighborhood awake.  At least those withing earshot.  After a shower I thought I felt pretty good.
We were off to our usual Breakfast at Two Springs RV Resort this morning.  We thought we’d have to go alone but last night Terry and JoAnne called and asked if we were going.  So we  met them there.  I no sooner got settled with my plate of food when nothing was looking very good.  I finished about half of the plate that took and I was disappointed in myself.  I don’t usually leave food on my plate after I’ve taken it, but today I just didn’t fell like eating.
By the time we got home we both decided we were going to take a nap for the afternoon.  We only slept for about an hour but we didn’t go to the pool because of the wind.  It was blowing extremely hard this afternoon and I don’t think it was very pleasant over there.
With everything turning out rotten today I really didn’t plan on going anyway.  I really didn’t want to take a chance on drowning today.
Sharon took off for church this afternoon and when she got out she gave me a call to see if I wanted anything from town for Supper.  She stopped at McD’s and picked us up some Dinner for tonight.
We checked our usual programming on TV for the night, and like almost every other Saturday, it was repeats and re-runs.  We did, however, have several things taped on the DVR to watch for the night.  We also finished off the night with Lock-up on MSNBC.

Sunday, February 22, 2015

I awoke after another lousy night last night.  Sharon even tried to sleep out in the living room which turned out badly.  She was back in bed in a couple of hours.  I guess the racket that I was making subsided as she attempted to get a night’s sleep.
Today we were expected to get some rain and the sky clouded up starting in the morning and continued all day.  It rained a little bit in the late afternoon but the sky remained gloomy all day.
We started off the day by watching the Daytona 500 for a couple of hours today.  We actually watched the race today and not just the finish, which Joey Logano won.
By looking out the window you could see how gruesome the day had become.  It was threatening to rain and gloomy enough to cancel any plans we may have had for the pool.  Sharon actually walked over to the pool to say good-bye to our friends but nobody was there.  That’s all right they all know we were leaving for Yuma tomorrow.
I didn’t feel like eating for most of the day again so Sharon had another day off until Supper.  She whipped up a batch of Spaghett and Meatballs for Supper and it turned out very good even though I didn’t eat much of it.  No matter I’m usually the one who finishes up leftover spaghetti.
Later tonight we had the Oscars on TV.  Liberals breaking their arms trying to pat themselves on the back for pretending they’re something their not.  We didn’t actually   watch the show until we ran out of things to watch on the DVR.  We did manage to watch the final categories, however.  The show ran overtime, as usual, as everyone in the civilized world had to be thanked.  Besides the show we were pulling for, American Sniper, didn’t win squiddle.
I was ready for bed by the time the Oscars got over with.  Apparently my body wasn’t as I coughed and choked for the first half hour after retreating.  Sharon stayed up until that half hour was over with..
I apologize for the late publish today.  It was a "move" day and we traveled to Yuma and we spent the entire day at Urgent Care trying to clear up my problems.  I am since loaded up with new medications and hoping to improve.
