We got up this morning with jobs to do. It didn’t appear to be a very nice day since it was overcast and a little cool outside. At least it wasn’t raining......yet.
After Breakfast I decided that today was going to be the day to disassemble our toilet because it appeared to be leaking water. By the time I got it apart, there didn’t seem to be anything cracked or broken so I cleaned the seals and put it back together. I tightened up all the bolts that were holding it to the floor and now we’ll just have to see what happens.
After lunch, (leftover brizza) I was intending to try again to get the running light fixed that I started on yesterday. For some reason I couldn’t get it screwed solidly to the wall of the motorhome. I just left it last night cause it was getting dark. In the daylight I saw what the problem was, and remedied it quite quickly.
Sharon was off to the clubhouse to work on a jig-saw puzzle that she spotted the other day when she was doing laundry. In fact she had worked on it the other day while waiting for the clothes to do their thing in the washer and dryer.
I spent much of the afternoon downloading clean copies of video to my computer. I was having another problem getting them into my program again. Maybe this will help.
We had Pasties for Supper tonight. Pasties are Ground Beef, Cubed Potatoes, Onions, Salt and Pepper rolled up into a piece of dough and baked in the oven. They are quite good and great reheated.
With all my honey-dos done I was much more comfortable sitting and staring at the idiot box tonight. There were some of my favorite programs on tonight. We both stayed up late tonight at least until the regular programming ended.

We were up this morning with a plan to do some site seeing back down in
Foley. Since the weather was so rotten last month this would be one of our last chances to see what we wanted to see before we come back in April.
We left around 9:30 looking for the nearest Waffle House on the way. We took a different way into Robertsdale but soon found out we were taking a roundabout way to get into town. The map from the campground was not to scale so the highways were not where they showed they were. It wasn’t a problem except that it kept us from Breakfast a little longer.
After Breakfast our first stop was the W.C. Holmes Hospital (Medical Museum). It’s the first hospital that was located in Foley in the 30's, and was in operation until 1958. The museum occupies the entire second floor of a building in downtown Foley. It was a very interesting self guided tour of the entire building. The building was very well preserved and I even found a medical appurtenance that I had to wear when I was a youngster 65 years ago. Eerie!!
Our second stop was the preserved Railroad Station and model railroad exhibit just across the street. The layout is approximately 1400 square feet in a room that looks like it was built for this purpose. The layout was quite impressive with many major features that even included a “working fire” at a fireworks factory.
Both of our stops today were free which is always a bonus when site seeing.
After our downtown trip we returned home about mid-afternoon and I settled in to work on my video that I had downloaded again yesterday. It was a three hour video of a trip west that we had made in the winter of 1998-99. For the rest of the afternoon I was editing film.
I had a small bowl of Rigatoni for Supper while Sharon opted for bag of popcorn. It was quick and painless, and it worked out just fine.
We were back to our usual entertainment for the night. A whole night of original programming. Who could ask for anything more. We both stayed up til 11 tonight until all our options expired.

We got up this morning and didn’t have much to do which is a good thing. We will be leaving tomorrow to head down toward the Rally we’ll be attending in Florida.
After eating Breakfast I worked on my video for most of the day today. I had the TV going in the background and I even managed to get Rush on the radio for while. I was experiencing withdrawal from Rush not having been able to get him for the past two months. You can’t keep up with the world when all you have is cable news. They refuse to report the stupidity of politicians and the things that they think are logical.
By lunchtime I took a break to have the rest of the leftover Rigatoni that was waiting in the fridge. I finished that up and then went outside to dump our holding tanks. I always like to have a fresh clean start when we take off. After the tanks I came back inside and trimmed a vent that we bought the other day at Camping World for our bathroom. That didn’t take long and I was back to my video again.
By the time I finished up tonight, just before supper, I had gotten at least 40 minutes into the 3 hour rough footage. These tapes are going much smoother than the one I did previously that took 17 days to finish up. Although I do think that this one will take longer than 17 days. I’m just finally glad that I can do them at all.
Tonight was not a big night for TV but there was certainly enough to watch tonight to keep us interested until 11 o’clock. Although I napped a couple of times during the 9 PM program so when 10 rolled around I was ready for the hay.

We were off rather early for us, getting on the road just before 9AM this morning on our way to Clermont, Florida. We’ll only get about halfway today since we’re in no hurry to get there.
We decided to stop before we got onto the interstate this morning, at the gas station at the end of our campground road. We really didn’t need the gas yet but we thought it would save us a stop later on today. And it really didn’t look like gas was going to be any cheaper in Florida.
Our first stop was around noon for lunch. We found a Rest Area and pulled in for 30 minutes. We had Sloppy Joe’s and Potato Salad that we also had a day or so ago for lunch.
We were back on the road again and we encountered a couple of sprinkles of rain on our way. I hate it when it rains while we’re driving because it makes such a mess of the vehicles. It didn’t actually rain today as much as sprinkled on us. We managed to pull into our Lake City campground, Casey Jone’s RV Park, about 3 PM and got quickly settled in. We didn’t hook up any utilities, except the power, since we didn’t need them for an overnight stay. It’ll just be fewer things to unhook tomorrow when we leave.
I was pretty well spent today when we were all settled. We are usually moving every two weeks and this winter we’ve squatted for the better part of 3 months. I didn’t realize that it would take a toll on this old body. We’ll be moving around for the next 6 weeks or so, so I hope I can get back in the groove.
We’re in the Eastern Time Zone now and I absolutely hate this time. I think I’ve become more of a Pacific Time Zone kind of guy. By the time I get adjusted to the change I’ll be back in the Central Zone. Terrific!
I watched TV tonight until 11 and only caught my regular shows tonight. There were no additional shows to keep me up until 11. Sharon adjusted to the Time Zone by going to bed early. She won’t, however, be up any earlier in the morning. She’ll still be on Central Time by the time she gets up.

We were on the road again this morning right after Breakfast with intentions of making it to Bee’s Resort in Clermont, Florida. We pulled in about 1 PM, located our site and got settled in, but not without problems. As we pulled in I noticed a motorhome on the road that was just sitting there. When I got out to unhook the car a guy got out of the motorhome and he was spoiling for a fight. He came at me slowly, but with one hand clenched into a fist. When he got to me, he pushed me with both hands. I had no idea what was happening, but before I reacted, I could hear his wife come screaming down the road. She was still about 50 yards away but she was circling her temple with her finger indicating he had some mental problems. If this was going to happen to anyone it would happen to me. Apparently he though I was pulling into HIS site. Go figure.
As soon as we were settled we called our friends, Bill and Carole Lawson who we were going to meet at Applebee’s if we got in early. They gave us the address and since it was going to take us about 30 minutes to get there, we were back on the road again.
We met them at the restaurant at 3 and it did take us about 30 minutes to get there. We had a very nice visit with the Lawsons catching up on a bunch of things since we had seen them last. We had a half sandwich and a bowl of soup while we were there for Supper. It was, however, a little early for our supper but I’m sure we’ll figure something else out later. They had suggested some tentative plans before we left the restaurant and said they would call us if anything panned out.
By the time we got home they had called us and wanted to know if we wanted to go to Disney World and ride the boats tomorrow for free. While Sharon is not a boat person, she thought the idea was a good one. We’ll meet them tomorrow outside the park and then go in with them.
We settled in front of the TV for the night and watched until the cows came home at 11.

We were up and off this morning toward Disney World right after Breakfast. We wouldn’t actually be going “into” the park but rather going to ride on the boats around the park. And we’d be doing it all for free with Bill and Carole. Besides Carole and I weren’t much for walking anyway so this would work out perfectly for everybody.
We arrived at the meeting place right on time at 10 but we took a wrong turn at where we were supposed to meet across the street. As it turned out, it was an entrance drive into the park. We quickly turned around and made it out to the gas station across the street.
We were on our way shortly afterward headed into the park by another entrance. We finally ended up at the Wilderness Lodge where we would catch our first boat. The weather turned out to be absolutely beautiful and a perfect day to ride the boats in the park. We skirted the Magic Kingdom as we rode to the Floridian Hotel and then to the Polynesian. It was all very beautiful as we ate our lunch on the dock to the Polynesian Hotel. We were right where we wanted to be for our next pickup.
By 2 o’clock we were on our way back home. We needed to stop at Camping World on the way. We had a bad thermostat and a leak in the water valve for the toilet. I get so frustrated at Camping World. For a company that makes it’s money off the backs of Rvers they certainly aren’t ANY help when you need it. I have a 14 year old thermostat that they still don’t have a device to test it, although they did have a water valve at a different store that cost me $5 in tolls, and 30 minutes, to get to. Way to go Camping World.
We got home about 3:30 hoping to find a KFC on the way that we could stop at for Supper. We had no luck with the KFC but then we remembered that we had extra pasties waiting for us in the refrigerator. At this point it was almost too early for Supper anyway so reheating the pasties would work out nicely. We could eat at our regular time.
Saturday night is always lousy for TV so we watched a movie we had on the DVR. Little Fockers was the name of the movie and it was entertaining for two hours but not much else. It was a sequel to “Meet the Parents” that was out a few years ago. We made it to bedtime though by turning the clocks ahead tonight.

Sharon was off to church this morning as soon as she got up since we had a double time change over the past couple of days. I got up and watched my Sunday shows while I wrote my Journal this morning. When I decided I had heard enough of how Ted Cruz is ruining the Republican Party I turned them all off. Besides I had some repairs to do today anyway.
We picked up a new water valve for our toilet yesterday and I intended to put it on today. It was one of those jobs that I had to lay on the floor for 15 minutes and then pretend like I was going to get up again. Unfortunately I had to get up and down at least 3 times which wore me out completely. I did, however, get the valve changed.
By the time I finished I got a phone call from Sharon. She was done with church and K-Mart and wanted to know if I wanted her to stop at McDonald’s for lunch. Of course I answered in the affirmative, and a half hour later she rolled in with our lunch.
For the rest of the afternoon I worked on my video and got quite far since I had two parades to edit. I had Las Vegas NASCAR on in the background on TV but I really wasn’t interested in the results.
With NASCAR and editing on the menu for the afternoon that took us right up to Dinnertime. Sharon debated with herself whether she wanted to make Chicken and Rice or not today. She knew she’d have to close the windows and turn on the air to keep it cool in here. She finally decided that Chicken and Rice would be on the menu.
Except for 60 Minutes and The Mentalist TV was going to suck big time tonight, so we watched a movie for most of the night. By the time 10 rolled around we were just in time to watch The Mentalist. After that was over we quietly retired to our bed at 11.
