I was awake way too early, up at 5:45.  So got my walk in early too.  Went to see Bill at noon.  Phil and Joyce were there visiting him.  Henry and Arlene popped in later too.  They give Bill an antibiotic once a day through the port they put in his arm.  They have also started him on physical therapy.  I hope this all works and that he’s home soon.  On the way home, I stopped at Catalina to pick up our weekly mail.  I had a pork chop and baked potato for supper.  Watched a little tv, read my book and then decided to start a 500 piece puzzle.  Love doing puzzles.

Slept til 8 am, my usual time.  After breakfast, I wanted to freshen up the carpet from Bill walking on it with his sore foot.  I had bought a can of Woolite and with a long handled brush, it scrubbed up very nicely.  Left to see Bill at about 11:00.  He was a new man, showered, clean shaven and dressed in shorts and a t-shirt.  He had already been to therapy twice, they got it in early today.  I brought the computer with and he helped me do a few things on the computer for him.  His Goin’ South newsletter hasn’t been sent out yet.  Hopefully it will be out Wed.  Bill also keeps track of our expenses so he showed me how to enter those too.  Dr Bir came in while I was there.  He said they may take him off the daily IV on Monday, so we know he’s there till at least then.  I stopped at the 99c store on the way home.  They have a good deal on veggies and fruit.  But the watermelon I got was mushy in the center, the rest of it was good.  I had to catch up with my laundry when I got home, only 2 loads, not the usual 4.  I made cheese potatoes and ham for supper, very good.  Finished my puzzle and read my book the rest of the evening.

Got the guilty feeling to make myself go for a walk.  I mean, what else am I going to do for 45 minutes...so I say, ‘get your butt out there’.  I’m moving to Catalina Spa tomorrow morning, 1 ½ miles away.  This morning I decided to disconnect the sewer, water (will work off the pump), and pick up the lawn chairs and rug.  I will be ready when Henry comes to drive my car over there at 9 am.  Wednesday has always been Taco and beer at the VFW for all of us.  Henry and Arlene were going and I went with, can’t wait for Bill to do everything.  Their friends from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, joined us.  It was very busy, as usual.  The waitresses know us from year to year and were so sorry to hear about Bill, they said to give them their love and they will pray for him.  Only had a few beers so after being home for a while, I went to see Bill.  He doesn’t change much from day to day but he is getting better.  Finished my ham and potatoes for supper, then TV, book and bed.

Henry is an early riser, so I told him, don’t come over til 9 am.  Well of course, I was up and ready to move by 8:15 and Henry was here by 8:45, which was fine.  I was a little nervous about driving into Catalina Spa, the roads are a little narrow.  I scouted it out yesterday, found a site I wanted, so if noone has it by nine, it’s mine.  The site was still vacant, I made the corners fine and Henry directed me into the site.  He got me hooked up (I could have done it but it was nice to have someone else take care of the ‘blue jobs’).  Blue Jobs are what my sister-in-law, Cookie, calls outside men jobs and then of course, Pink Jobs, are inside lady jobs.  Phil and Joyce came into the park a few minutes after me and parked a couple sites away.  It’s very windy and cool out today, so there won’t be any pool time.  I had my lunch and went to see my honey.  He’s doing a little better so we’re hoping......  All the news on TV are saying that the flu is very bad, no mater where you are at.  I have never gotten the shot or the flu, for that matter but decided that I should stay healthy to take care of you know who.  Walgreen still had it available and I got it.  The rest of my night was my usual, eat, read and tv.

Went to the Cottage with Phil and Joyce for breakfast.  We met Terry, Joann, Henry and Arlene there.  We had an empty chair at the table in honor of Bill, he loves going there for breakfast.  I left early to visit Bill so I could stop at Walmart for knit shorts for Bill but they didn’t have what I wanted.  He will just have to wear his cotton ones.  He had therapy and lunch by the time I got there.  Later on, a nurse came in to get him in the shower.  By the time he shaved and showered, he was ready for a nap.  They put him on his IV and I let him nap.  I stopped at Henry and Arlene’s for a visit.  They will be here for just another week and a half.  Made myself a salad for supper, good tv tonight and read my book.

Quail RV Park had a patio sale this morning, so I went with Phil and Joyce.  We walked through the park and didn’t find anything we couldn’t live without.  When we got back, we went up to Catalina Spa’s craft sale at the upper club house.  But again, we bought nothing.  I guess we must already have it all.  I was off to see my honey at noon.  He’s getting better, but slowly.  Joann and Terry stopped in for a visit.  Our friends have been visiting him quite often, so at least he gets to see them even if it’s not out socially.  I had lasagna for supper, and then watched the Packers loose.  What a disappointment.  As Bill said, it would have been nice if the whole team showed up.  I started another puzzle, so that kept me busy during the crappy game.

Went to 9am Mass this morning.  The temp outside was 37 at 8:30, burrrr.  We only have highs lately in the 50's, which is still cool for January.  We are ready for some warmer weather.  After I got home, Bill called so he could walk me through printing his newsletter.  I’m not too good on the computer, so I need step by step directions.  He usually has it sent out by the first of the month but everything has been on hold lately.  He walked me through and we got it printed without any major problems.  He was able to send out the email ones a couple days ago when I brought the computer to him.  Phil and Joyce stopped over this morning and invited me to go with them to Mimi’s tomorrow.  We enjoy eating there so I will be happy to go with them.  Bill will just have to try to catch up on it all when he gets out.  I went to visit him after lunch.  His leg looked much better.  They check it and wrap it every day to see the progress.  He’s scheduled to have the antibiotic IV til Tuesday, so we’re hoping he will come home soon.  Arlene and Henry stopped in for a visit and invited me over for a cocktail later.  While at their place, their friends, Gary and Janet, also dropped by.  After coming home, I finished my lasagna for supper.  The rest of my exciting night consisted of reading the Sunday paper, doing my puzzle and tv.
