Monday, December 24, 2012CHRISTMAS EVE

Sharon was off this morning on her walk and I just sat and waited at home for her.  She was gone for awhile and when she got back announced that she was doing laundry today and then doing some shopping for Christmas Dinner tomorrow.
While she was gone with the laundry I made myself useful and vacuumed the carpet, did the few dishes we had in the sink and finished up on the Newsletter.  Speaking of the Newsletter, the Clipart collection that I have is unusable with Windows 7.  So in order to use clipart again I’ll have to get a new program.  Damn!  Windows 7 gets to be a bigger pain in the ass every time I use it.
After Sharon got back she took off for the grocery store still undecided about what we were having for supper tonight.  Tomorrow’s meal would be Fried Chicken from Wal-Mart and she didn’t like any of my suggestions for tonight.  So I can’t wait to see what she’s decided on for us to eat tonight.
The usual fare was on TV today for a Christmas Eve.  A Christmas Story and It’s a Wonderful Life pretty much dominated our choices for the afternoon and evening.  We watched “It’s a wonderful Life” and recorded “A Christmas Story” for later viewing.
After the movie we watched a couple of other half hour shows that we had taped and Hawaii 5-0 and then called it a night.  It had been a busy day today even though we didn’t get much done.  I should speak for myself and not Sharon.

Tuesday, December 25, 2012MERRY CHRISTMAS

We were both up relatively early this morning, with Sharon having to finish up the Christmas Dinner that she was fixing for Dennis and Mary and us.  Even though she bought the Fried Chicken yesterday, she still had some side dishes that she needed to make.
She was also off to church this morning and while she was gone I dumped our holding tanks in anticipation of leaving tomorrow.  I hate leaving that job til the day we leave but sometimes I really have no choice.
When Sharon got back she finished up the Dinner and Dennis and Mary arrived about 12:30 for the day.  We managed to eat around 1:30 and it was a very good meal although not too Christmassy.  We sat around and talked for a couple of hours until the Ceshkers decided they were going to leave and go home.  We had a very nice week with them and it was sad to have bid them farewell.
As soon as we were alone we took down the Christmas decorations and put them away for another year.  They were up for a full 6 days this year.  It’s always sad when we take them down but it’s usually just before a move to another campground.  We got everything down and put away in about an hour and then sat down to relax our meal for the night.
It was right at suppertime that we finally made it to our comfy chairs but we wouldn’t be eating anything but snacks for the rest of the night anyway.
We settled in front of the Telly for the night to watch repeats for the most part.  We’ll be watching repeats for the next month if the past practice of the networks is in effect for this year.  You can’t find an original show except on cable during this time.
We hung in there until 10 before we went to bed.  I actually went first and then Sharon followed after about a half hour, I think.

We left Mesa this morning with one destination In mind.  We would stop in Quartzsite and stay overnight for one night and then continue on to Desert Hot Springs.
Out side of Phoenix we knew a Cracker Barrel Restaurant that we would stop and eat Breakfast and then go on from there.
During Breakfast I got nauseated and it would be the beginning if some very bad days for me.

Thursday December 27, 2012

I spent most of the day nursing a case of cellulitis in my left left leg and anxious to get to a hospital in Desert Hot Springs.  I hadn’t eaten anything for the last couple of days and no desire to do otherwise.  We went to the Emergency Room at Eisenhower Medical and spent 9 hours waiting for treatment.  It was a long day.

Friday, December 28, 2012

It was the first full day taking the medications they gave me at Eisenhower.  Apparently they will take a while before they kick in.  They are not going to kick in quickly.  The redness, swelling and pain in my left is increasing but it actually seems to be getting better.  Still nothing to eat for me except 7-UP and coke.

I am starting to take a little food in now but still not eating any meals yet.   I’m not feeling nauseated any longer, I just don’t feel like partaking in a meal.  I am starting to come around however, and I should be back eating regular over the next few days.

We’ve been waiting four days for the Packer game on TV today.  As it turned out we didn’t have much to wait for.  They lost to the Vikings and we’ll play them the first week in the playoffs.  They played a pretty good game but lost in the end.  Oh woe is me.
