I’m back again folks. Sharon and I both have a reprieve until further notice.
I’ve escaped from the hospital, after 64 days, and she no longer needs to write our Journal.............until further notice.
We had a serious struggle with the staff at the hospital trying to get me released, but it’s such a sorry story, I just don’t want to repeat it here. It’s just too emotional. Suffice it to say that we got home late in the afternoon, and they didn’t let me go until I threatened to walk out. It was not a pleasant scene to say the least.
We drove directly to Del Taco on the way home and each got a Beef Burrito for Dinner. It was quite good and all I wanted for then.
We sat and watched TV for the rest of the night. It wasn’t too exciting, but I was home.

Not much sleep last night and I’m sure Sharon was just as restless.
We went out for Breakfast with Terry and JoAnn and then went to K-Mart to do some shopping. We had a few piddly things to pick up, and it only took about a half hour.
We came back home with a trip through Catalina Spa on the way. We stopped to pick up our mail and visit Phil and Joyce for about 10 minutes.
After getting home I worked on the website for a couple of hours to no avail. I still couldn’t get it up and running right, so I gave up for the day.
We sat around for the rest of the day waiting for the Home Healthcare Rep to contact us for my treatments. She finally did in late afternoon, and then stopped over for a meeting. She was here for about 45 minutes.
We had a Dinner of Chicken Alfredo with Salad and then settled in for the rest of the night with the Telly.
We both ended the nite at 10 and then headed for the “sleepless chamber’”

We both had a perfectly miserable night last night. I was rolling around awake all night, and Sharon didn’t sleep either. I finally got up and sat in the recliner and actually nodded off for a half hour around 6.
It was Taco Wednesday today and I was bound and determined to join Phil and Joyce for lunch today. We did and I got a very valuable piece of advice on sleep medication. I didn’t know it at the time.
I was somewhat uncomfortable at the VFW with all the crowd noise today and we left after about 2 hours.
We waited most of the day for Walgreens to call that my prescriptions were ready and we could pick them up. Finally at 6 Sharon called them and found out they were ready. We left immediately to pick them up and we had a devil of a time finding all the vitamins and supplements they want me to take.
We got back home about 7 and watched TV for the night.
We both headed off for bed at about 9:45 and my new sleep medication worked great after I finally got settled.

I woke up this morning well rested even though I was up early. Sharon had a much better night also.
We were off to Breakfast with Terry and JoAnn, Phil and Joyce and friends of Terry and JoAnn’s, Ron and Theresa.
We went to the Cottage Too and had a real good time. The only drawback was having to use the bathroom twice which was terrible.
We came straight home after we were done and I sat and rested for awhile. We had intended in going over today to Terry and JoAnn’s this afternoon to make arrangements for moving over there next week. They’ve offered us they’re site for the extra time that we need to spend here this year.
We left about 1 and headed over to Outdoor Resorts. It took us about an hour or so to finish the paperwork and tour the park. They wanted us to stay longer, but I had to get back home and get my leg elevated.
We sat and watched the Telly and I even took a couple of naps in my recliner for the rest of the night.
We gave It all up about 10 and headed for the bed.

We really had nothing to do today, except Sharon had to go and do some grocery shopping. But first I had to have a haircut and a shower. It had been more than two months since I had a trim. After the trim, I got into the shower to get cleaned up for the day.
I was waiting for the wound nurse to show up and Sharon took off to do the shopping for the next week. She was gone for a while
when the nurse called and said she had gotten tied up and would be a little late today. It wasn’t a problem because we had nowhere to be and no time to be there. Sharon actually got back and was putting away the groceries when Henrietta arrived for the wound change.
It took her only about a half hour before she was done and on her way again.
Phil had also stopped over for a few minutes just to chat. It was cold and windy out so I really wasn’t going anywhere today.
Later this afternoon, when they left the pool, Phil and Joyce stopped over and chatted for awhile. After a couple of cocktails we also finalized our plans to go to Two Springs for Breakfast with Terry and JoAnn tomorrow.
For the rest of the night we watched TV and I even had a nap or two while I was relaxing. I guess I’m starting to relax about being home and on “my own.”

We took off this morning for Two Springs to have Breakfast with the Bertamini’s and Bachs. While we were there we saw a bunch of other people from Catalina including the Browns and Parents. We always enjoy that buffet cause it’s delicious and only $6 apiece.
After Breakfast Sharon and I took off for Palm Springs to a furniture store to see if we could find something to replace the stuff in the motorhome. We are just speculating
at the present time but who knows in the future. We haven’t made any definite plans for now, only suggestions.
When we got back we realized the material swatches were all wrong for our coach. We’ll have to go back tomorrow.and watched TV for thew rest of the night.
We settled in for the rest of the afternoon, and later on Sharon took off for church. By the time she got back she was ready to settle in also. We just relaxed for the rest of the night until it was time for bed at 10.

We were off to the furniture place again this morning to return the color swatches we had borrowed yesterday. We have since decided that whatever we do with regard to the motorhome, it will wait for awhile.
When we got home we went over to the pool and got a standing ovation from the swimmers. Although they were already standing up in the water anyway. It was nice to hear that they were glad that I was back even for a short time. We’ll be leaving here on Thursday for our stay at Outdoor Resorts on Terry and JoAnn’s spot until the end of the winter. They’ve offered it to us and it’s impossilbe and unrealistic to refuse.
We came back home from the pool and Sharon made Chicken and Rice for Dinner. It’s one of my favorites and it was very good to say the least.
We camped out in front of the TV for the night even though there was crap on for the night. You have to do something for entertainment however.
