An early morning rise again today. I was out for my walk by 7:30. I then defrosted the fridge before going to see Bill.
They told him he will go to Eisenhower tomorrow to have his pick line replaced. The one he has is plugged. We sat out on the patio for our visit and just as we were coming in Jo-Ann and Terry came for a visit, so we went back outside. We love being able to sit outside on the patio. You can see the beautiful mountains or just watch the traffic go by. Bill is having problems publishing the journal. But I will keep writing.
I stopped at the club house and picked up a 500 piece puzzle to start tonight. For supper I made a chicken breast, along with garlic, Parmesan noodles and broccoli. It was all very good with enough for tomorrow night.
I worked on my puzzle while watching TV. Read another short story from the book Mary gave me.

This morning I got up about 7:30. I had to pick Bill up about 9am for his appointment at Eisenhower. He was fresh and ready when I got there. We took the wheel chair along because you can’t drive very close to the front door of the hospital. We got there early for his 10am appointment and they took him in at 9:50. The procedure took about 45 minutes. I checked out their gift shop while waiting for him and couldn’t resist buying a pair of earrings and a magazine. I showed it to the receptionist when I got back in the waiting area. When Bill came out, I gave him my magazine to hold while I wheeled him out. He said, ‘oh, you bought a book’ and the lady sitting there said, ‘and that’s not all she bought’. Busted!
I asked Bill if he wanted to go for a ride. So we took a ride through Catalina Spa because he wanted to talk to Bryan, the computer guy there, about a problem Bill is having with our computer. Bryan was busy and Bill didn’t get any real help from him. Bill will just have to wait till he gets out of Rehab and has more time to talk. After Catalina, we drove through Desert Pools to show him where I’m staying. While there, we stopped and talked to Terry Brown. Little did we know that the rest of his family were on their way to see Bill at Country Villa Rehab.
So that brings us to lunch time. I kept Bill a little longer and we went to Del Taco for a beef and bean burrito, along with a churro. We ate in the car but enjoyed it ever so much. It was the best day since he’s been there. We both enjoyed our date. I brought him back and stayed with him til 1pm. After coming home, I called Bill’s sister, Marge, who lost her husband, Wally, in December. We talked for over a half hour.
I enjoyed my left over supper just as much as last night. Afterwards I finished my puzzle and did my usual TV watching and reading.

I slept till 8am. I haven’t slept that late in weeks. I went for my walk around the park. It might be only 1 ½ miles, but a walk just the same. I disconnected the sewer and water so I will be ready to move tomorrow morning. I also put the chairs in the car to set up at Catalina when I go there later today. After lunch I left to stop at Walmart before seeing Bill. His wound Dr was in this morning and said it looked good. Bill asked her how long before they will put on the wound vacuum and she said a week or 2. That’s all we hear, ‘a week or 2'. There really isn’t anything we can do to hurry this along or we would have done it weeks ago.
On my way home, I dropped off my car at Catalina Spa. I looked for a site to park my motor home on tomorrow and my car will save it for me. I saw Roy and said I will be there by 9am and he will help me park. I walked back to Desert Pools.
I had a couple loads of laundry to do so I did them here at the small laundry that I was close by. I cooked one of my small steaks for supper and ate it in between my washing and drying. I even got my ironing done tonight. Finished my night off with TV and reading.

I had to get up and get going this morning so I could meet Roy at Catalina at 9am to help me park. I had everything done and met Roy there at my site. While backing me in, I hit a stump and dented the step and a piece just above it between the door and step. Roy said he was sorry, that he didn’t see the stump. I got in my site and did the rest of the hook ups myself. After everything was plugged in and set up, I raked the site. They don’t have the maintenance help this year as in the past years and you can tell by all the leaves etc on the sites. Now I’m all set for another 2 weeks. Sure hope Bill is here by then and so does he.
After lunch I’m off to see Bill. Dr Bir didn’t come in this morning, he’s suppose to be here tomorrow. Bill is still on IV and they clean his wound every day. We sat outside for a while. It’s so nice to be out there for our visits.
I stopped at Albertson’s for a few things on my way home. I was really tired today, just worn out I guess. Made chicken breast for supper and just laid around til bedtime.

I was up before sunrise again. Made a pot of decaf coffee and drank it all. It’s cold and very windy out today, temp is 50 something, so the hot coffee tastes good while I was lounging around.
Later I went to the Post Office to mail Valentine cards to the grandkids. I also needed gas for the car. The cheapest I found in Desert Hot Springs was $3.84 at Arco, where you have to pay cash. Chevron, which was across the street was $4.04.
Well Bill had some news today. Dr Bir was in and Bill kept him there for 20 minutes. Dr Bir is going to send Bill to Eisenhower on Sunday and hopefully on Monday, as Dr Bir said, ‘have a couple more eyes’ take a look at his wound. The Doctors he was trying to get in to see at the wound clinic will see him at Eisenhower. So we are happy with that decision of moving him.
I came home and took a 1 ½ hour nap or as Bill calls it, if it’s longer than 20 minutes, it’s a ‘sleep’. I had a chicken salad for supper and watched TV. Went to bed at 9:30 with a book.

It’s cold and in the 50's again. With the rain we got yesterday, it put some snow on the mountains, very beautiful. I went to the Cottage for breakfast today with Jo-Ann and Terry. Bill has a lot of making up to do. This is one of his favorite places to go.
While visiting Bill this afternoon, Maryann, Roy, Terry and Diana came for a visit. They have been stopping by every week. Our friends have been very faithful visiting Bill to help him pass the time away. Bill and I cleaned out most of his stuff because tomorrow he’s moving to Eisenhower. We hope this move finally takes care of the wound.
I went to 5pm Mass. The Bishop was there and assisted Father Dennis in Mass. He also gave the sermon, which lasted over 1 hour. The 5pm Mass got out at 6:45. It was a good sermon and as he said, he only comes to visit each parish every 5 years. I was going to cook my supper when I got home but with Mass ending so late, I stopped at KFC for my supper. I watched Cops and some other TV before heading off to bed.

I got up and got dressed right away because I didn’t know what time Bill will call to take him over to Eisenhower. He called about 11:45 and said his room was ready and he could move anytime. I ate a quick lunch and picked him up. He got moved in with no problems. They knew he was coming and everything went smooth. It seems the wound Dr that he is going to have, is the best there is. Bills nurse was very confident in him. I stayed for a while and left about 3pm. Bill called about 4:30 to say his pick line is plugged again, my god, could anything go right for this man. I called him back later and he said they haven’t tried to clear it again and as I was talking to him, they came in for him to get a MRI. Not anything much on the tv so off to bed early to read.
