I was up early today with nothing to do except clean up all the things outside that I didn't do yesterday.  Today was a moving day and I should have been picking up chairs and tables so I wouldn't have to do it all today.  But I actually had it all done before Sharon even got out of bed.
We arrived at Desert Pools, next door, about 15 minutes before the office opened so we had to wait for them this morning.  There did happen to be 4 rigs ahead of us in line, however.  Other people with nothing better to do in the morning.  We were in the park and set up by 10, and ready to go to lunch, except it was a little early.
We actually waited until about 11:30 before we headed into town to check out the Pizza Hut Buffet.  They have a new entity in the same building with them,,,,,,,Wing Street Wings.  We though maybe the wings would be on the buffet but no such luck.  We did get a small order of wings but we weren't impressed.  Sharon's wings are better than the ones we had.  We ordered the Honey BBQ and not the Traditional, so the other ones may have been better.
After lunch we stopped at Von's and picked up a couple of things that we needed . before we headed back to the campground.  It was time for the pool by the time we got home so we got into our swimming togs and headed over to Catalina.  The pool was a little cooler today but still a very nice temperature.  We stayed until we were waterlogged and then we were invited over to Phil and Joyce's for a beverage and some snacks.  We left for home when it started getting a little chilly outside.  It happens whenever the sun goes down out here.
We came home and plopped in front of the tube for the night.  Sharon had bought herself a TracPhone for the trip home, and she set that up tonight while we watched TV.  She'll be flying out next Tuesday so I guess this week she'll be getting ready to go.  At 10 all the ducks were in a row and the duck hunters were headed to the blind.

After Sharon got ready this morning she took off for town hoping to get a few things done today.  I decided to stay home and work on the Newsletter since I hadn't written anything for it so far this month.  By the time she got finished in town she called me with her new phone and asked if I wanted her to stop somewhere for lunch.  I suggested Carl's Jr. For a Western Bacon Burger.
She got home right at noon and we sat and ate lunch before we got in the car  and headed over to Catalina for the Manager's Meeting.  The meetings are usually all the same and nothing controversial with the possible exception of Dog Doo-Doo.  These meeting always deteriorate into the same subjects.  There was nothing earthshaking about this meeting either.
After the meeting we went directly to the pool, changing clothes in the Rest Room.  I don't know ho people can shower in these Rest Rooms and feel clean when they're done.  The floors are always wet from the swimmers and then the people who track dust in on their shoes make mud on the floors.  It's absolutely impossible to keep the floors clean to any extent.
We stayed at the pool most of the afternoon and the water was still a delectable temperature.  This is the longest it's ever been this stable.  Last year it was up and down all year.
Sharon must have picked up Pork Chops on her trip to the store today cause that's what we were having for Supper tonight.  Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes and Peas with gravy on the mashed potatoes.  It was very good indeed and we bot enjoyed it very much.
We watched TV for about an hour after supper while we waited to return to Catalina for the Club Karaoke tonight.  We mixed up a couple of adult beverages and headed over.  When we got there we figured it was going to be a slow night since there were only about 15 people in attendance.  But they had the place arranged with tables and chairs like a real lounge.  It was really kind of neat.  Phil and Joyce joined us for the night but they had no intention singing..........tonight.  There was only about 5 of us singing but everybody got a good chance to croon their tunes.  It looks like this could be a regular activity for us in the future.  It had been a long time since I had sung anywhere.  We were at the Karaoke for a couple of hours until about 9 and then we came home.
I had a couple of our regular shows on tape since we knew we would be gone tonight and a couple of our regular shows were on the schedule with new episodes. I can't miss my regular shows as there really isn't much on the TV to miss out on the good shows.  We were up til about 10:30 before the curtain came down on us.

I got up this morning and it seems like the cold that Sharon was fighting for two days was now attacking me.  I started taking Zicam as soon as I got up and was hoping that it would be gone tomorrow.  Sharon had bought a new bottle of Zicam when the cold hit her, so I had enough for at least one day.
Phil and Joyce picked us up at noon to go to the VFW for Taco Wednesday.  It's become so automatic that we go even if we're not feeling By the time we got done eating Tacos and drinking beer the only thing I was interested in was a nap, so we came back home instead of going to the pool today.  We had been invited over to Kay Ellis and Paul Brown's to see their new park model. But I wasn't interested, at least not today.
After we got home I dropped into my recliner and that's where I stayed until bedtime, except for getting up for a Bologna Sandwich around suppertime.  And then I went right back to my recliner and stayed for the remainder of the night.
We watched new shows on the tube tonight, and even hung in there until 10 PM before we headed for the sleep chamber.

I got up this morning feeling worse than I did yesterday.  I was pounding Zicam into my body every 3 hours just like the instructions tell you, but it didn't seem to be helping this time.
After I retired to my recliner Sharon took off with the laundry and got that done before she takes off on Tuesday.
We were supposed to go to the Pak Inn today but I didn't feel like going anywhere so we called Phil and Joyce and opted out today.  Maybe tomorrow.
I pretty much stayed in my recliner all day today.  I didn't feel like doing much at all, so I didn't do anything.  I wasn't even interested in eating today, Even though I had a Bologna Sandwich and a can of Franco American Spaghetti.
After watching a little bit of TV tonight I went to bed early at 9 . Sharon slept out on the couch tonight.  I guess she didn't want to listen to me coughing and hacking all night.

I had a miserable night last night so I assume it was no picnic for Sharon either.  Today does not seem to have a brighter out look than yesterday.  I had hoped that this thing would break sometime today but I don't think  I'm going to be that lucky.  So I retired to my recliner and kept pumping myself full of medicine.
I started feeling a little better by lunchtime so I had a Bologna Sandwich and then went to the bedroom to shave and shower.  I didn't make it since the bed was too close to the shower.  I climbed into it and grabbed some zzzz's.
I woke up when Sharon came into the bedroom and started taking off her clothes.  It was a false alarm since she was going to the pool without me today.  When she came home she told me that she couldn't wait to tell everyone in the pool what she had done.  She had everyone in the pool just howling.
By the time she got back home again I was up and watching TV.  Not feeling any better, but up and watching TV.
There was no need to cook supper again tonight cause nobody felt like eating anyway, especially me.
We surfed the channels tonight for something to watch until I realized I was out of cough medicine and we decided to go to town to get some.  I needed a little fresh air anyway.  We were back in a half hour to watch another hour of TV before we went to bed together in different beds.

Up again this morning with "no way to hold my head that didn't hurt."  I'm starting to feel like a bad country and western song.  I don't think I've had a cold in my memory that has hit me as hard as this one.
Although I did start feeling somewhat better today I still didn't feel like I wanted to go to the pool with Sharon.  So she went by herself And when she got back she took off for church in town.
She was intending on stopping at McDonald's on the way home to pick up supper.  It's been weeks since I had a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, and tonight was going to be the night.
We surfed and taped tonight to get enough entertainment to watch.  It held us up until 10 but absolutely nothing beyond that.

I got up this morning feeling a lot better than I had over the past several days.  I was told last night that Phil and Joyce were going to the Cottage Too for Breakfast this morning and I wanted in.  Sharon got up with what seemed to be a bit of a sore throat this morning, and THAT is not a good thing at all.  She's been fighting off this cold for the past two weeks and if she catches it now, it'll all be in vain.
Phil and Joyce picked us up at 9 and we headed out to have Breakfast.  When we got there the place was almost empty but by the time we left, the restaurant was overflowing with people.  It may have been because church was probably letting out at that time.  But they also have a very good Breakfast for a very reasonable price that draws them in.
After Breakfast we stopped at one of the campgrounds near us for an advertised Rummage Sale that was going on today.  We didn't find much going on however, and only saw a couple of places that had anything out for sale.  That didn't take long as we headed out toward home.
Today was a "get ready to go day" as we are moving back to Catalina tomorrow and Sharon will fly out the following day for home.  I had dumped the holding tanks yesterday so we just had to pick up our chairs and stuff from outside and disconnect the hoses and sewer hook-ups.  The only thing I had left to do for tomorrow was disconnect the electric and pick up a couple of leveling blocks.
We sat and watched part of the Playoff game before we got on our swimming togs and headed toward the pool.  Everybody said hi when I got in the pool but everybody was keeping their distance from me, and who could blame them.  I wouldn't stand next to me if I could help it, after the last few days that I've had.  But everyone was still very friendly.
After the pool we came home and Sharon made Rigatoni's for my "Last Supper."  They were very good
Tonight was also the night I've been waiting a year for.  "24" starts it's new season tonight.  I settled into my recliner and waited for Jack Bauer to entertain me for another year.  He'll only do it for a couple of months but it'll hold me for another year.
Me and the Mrs. held out until 10 before we folded up our tents and headed for the hammocks for the night.
