I was up early this morning but not by choice. It was mostly because the cold I was getting was starting to give me fits. It woke me up last night and I spent a couple of hours in my recliner. It looks like it's going to be with me for a few days, at least. Sharon went out for her walk this morning but I stayed home. While she was out walking, she ran into Corky and Deb Zimmermann who told her they were planning to stop over this afternoon, because they were leaving tomorrow.
When Sharon got back she told me about their plans. She would soon be off to pick up a few things in town and I settled into my recliner to catch up on some lost sleep. By the time I woke up, Sharon was gone and left me a note that she was picking up lunch at McD's. She didn't get back home again until well after noon.
Corky and Deb came by about 2:30 and stayed for an hour and a half or so. By the time they left it was after 4 so we opted out of the pool today. Besides I could have used another nap for myself anyway.
By the time supper rolled around neither of us felt hungry at all, especially me. Sharon was also commenting by now that she thought she felt a cold coming over her also.
After we sat down and started watching TV for the night we got a call from Terry and Jo-Anne asking if they could come over. They were driving up outside when they made the call. They had gone out to eat with Jon and Kris Fraser, friends from Calgary. They stayed and talked for about an hour before they left and headed home. We quickly returned to TV mode and settled back in to watch for the rest of the night. By the time 10 rolled around we were both tired and ready for the feathers.

I had another wonderful night hacking and coughing and congested and awake for most of the night. And even though we had planned to go out for Breakfast this morning, I was plenty tired.
Terry and Jo-Anne picked us up at 8:30 this morning and we headed out to the Spa Casino in Palm Springs for their Buffet Breakfast. It's not a real good price anymore but the cost is still reasonable. It's $18 plus change for the two of us. As usual, the food was excellent, and very filling, as buffets usually are.
On the way home we stopped at a drug store to pick up some cough medicine and a bank so Terry and Jo-Anne could pick up some "walking around" money for when they leave on Thursday morning to go home.
By the time we got home I was ready for a nap. With a full stomach and hardly any sleep last night, a nap was definitely in my future this morning. I went directly to my recliner, did not pass "go", and did not collect $200. I was whipped and didn't plan on getting up until it was time to go to the pool this afternoon.
At about 2:30 we got dressed and took off for our afternoon "swim." The water was a couple of degrees cooler today which accented nicely with the rise in daily temperature It was around 90 today and quite warm.
We were invited over to Terry and Jo-Anne's tonight for Dinner, but we never really eat supper after going to the casino for Breakfast., so we declined. But they asked if we wanted to stop over afterwards and we accepted.
It was also Karaoke night at the clubhouse but I didn't feel like doing that tonight. In fact I almost fell asleep in a chair over at the Bertamini's. By now I wasn't functioning very well. If I can fall asleep tonight I'll head for the bed early.

I was up early again today even though I didn't sleep very well again last night. Sharon went for her walk and ran into Terry and Jo-Anne on the way. I wasn't interested having still being tired from the last 3 days.
I got an e-mail from Phil this morning asking about "week 15" in the Journal. When I checked it I found that I hadn't even entered it on the page, much less connected the links to view it. I must have been thinking about something else to completely screw that up so bad
By the time Sharon got home I was already trying to take a nap for the morning. Except for getting up to eat something for Breakfast and Lunch I stayed in the recliner til almost pool time. By then I was just wanting to get up so I took a shower and got cleaned up just in time to head for the pool.
Terry and Jo-Anne got there the same time we did after winterizing their coach for the trip home tomorrow. There were quite a few people in the pool and even a few newcomers that we hadn't seen before.
We had heard a couple of days ago that our park was going to reduce the price of an "outweek" for the last 2 weeks of March. It was reduced from $150 to $110 so we decided to buy our out week instead of moving next door for the week. We really won't get the full value out of it since we're probably only staying for two more weeks anyway. But now we have the option of staying an additional week for $35.
After the pool we went to Terry and Jo-Anne's to have a farewell beverage with them before they leave tomorrow and we all decided to go to Rocky's for pizza, for supper, tonight. The pizza was quite good but I did have a lot of mozzarella cheese on it. I'm not crazy about that much cheese. After we got back, we dropped our friends off at home and said our good-byes, and told them we'd see them in July for the Calgary Stampede.
At home we settled in front of the TV to catch up on the whole night of TV viewing. The DVR was working overtime tonight to save our regular TV viewing. It only took us up to 10 however and then we crashed and burned for the night.

Terry and Jo-Anne were on the road today for home while we were supposed to be on the road to Desert Pools. But because we bought our outweek we'll be staying here for the week.
Sharon was off on her walk as soon as she got ready this morning but I was still nursing this nagging cold and didn't feel like doing anything that could be construed as exercise. And actually as soon as Sharon got done with Breakfast she went directly to bed to have a nap. I guess this cold is taking its toll on her also. She was back up again at lunchtime.
We went to the pool at our usual time today but the pool was almost empty. It filled up later on but I would have expected it to have more people in it earlier. The usual gang arrived later this afternoon. We were almost ready to leave by that time.
Neither of us was feeling that good by the time we came back home. I had an additional symptom which was that my eyes were tearing and leaking some kind of gunk. I had to keep washing them with warm water to keep them from sticking shut. At this point I don't know what the hell is happening to me.
We had Bratwurst and Potato Salad for supper tonight. We've been waiting for a couple of days to eat the Bratwurst that Sharon had boiled a couple of days ago. It was a little windy out by suppertime so she just put them in a frying pan and browned them up.
After supper she took off with the laundry to catch up on it for the week. I asked her if she wanted some help but I must have been looking so pitiful she just laughed.
When she got back we settled in for the night with our usual fare on TV. I even recorded a later version of Jeopardy since our earlier version got wiped out by the wind. We watched Jeopardy and then continued with the rest of the night's entertainment. At 10 we were both whipped and ready to give up for the night.

Another coughing and hacking night left us both tired this morning. This is getting to be old in one heck of a hurry. The first thing you do in the morning is figure out when to take your nap for the day.
I was intending to find a new campsite for us today but Sharon said she wasn't interested in moving. I'm more concerned about the idiot next to us whose feeding the birds with seed. He's gone for the last couple of days but if he comes back, which I'm sure he will, I either have to tell him to stop or I'll probably have to move. I'm tired of looking at all the bird crap all over our car.
I mostly sat in my recliner this morning listening to Rush on the radio. He comes on from 9-12 out here, and by the time I finish watching my taped edition of Fox and Friends every morning, Rush is on til noon. That takes up most of my morning unless we have something planned. But today there was absolutely nothing planned.
This was going to be another beautiful day temperature-wise and the wind that was whistling last night has subsided for the most part. But the branches and leaves that it knocked down are still lying on the ground.
We had pizza for lunch today. Sharon reheated the leftover pizza from Rocky's Pizzeria that we went to the other night. We had half the pizza leftover, but it was as cheap to buy a Large as it was to order a small, which we could have eaten. Anyhow, the reheated pizza was quite good.
This was the second day in a row that we actually had to run the Air Conditioner to keep the motorhome cool. We run the air in the car all the time now whenever we go anywhere.
At about 2:30 we headed off to the pool for the afternoon. The Browns and Parents were there along with a host of other people. This would be Terry and Diana Browns last day in the pool. They are off tomorrow for Mobile, Alabama to go on a cruise with their family. We stayed the afternoon, and then came back home for food and TV.
Supper was Bratwurst and Potato Salad which we both like having come from the Midwest. It's almost "staple food", especially in the Summer. After Supper we settled in for TV for the night. Taping with the DVR is occurring every night now. The TV programming isn't that good anyway and now they're starting to play re-runs. But we managed to stay up watching something tonight until 10.

Sharon was up and walking this morning while I was planning to either cook us a big Breakfast or go out for one. When she got back I sprung it on her. She quickly decided we would go to the Cottage Too and chow down.
We left about 9:30 to head out for Breakfast. After we got done eating we needed to stop at Stater Bros. For a few groceries for this week. I waited in the car listening to a re-run of Rush while Sharon went in to pick up the goodies.
We came back home and discovered that she really did pick up the goodies. There really wasn't much to eat as far as meals were concerned, but she picked up fruits, cookies and cakes for Strawberries and several other things. Sometimes you just don't shop for food cause you need some essentials that you really don't eat.
We came home for the rest of the morning until it was time to go to the pool. He weather was actually gorgeous today with the temps in the 90's and very little wind. All of the usual participants were in the water and we stayed until well after Jeopardy was over with, so we had to play it on the DVR when we got back. Not a problem.
Sharon took off for church when we got back and she was planning to pick up KFC for Supper on her way back home. We always manage to have KFC when she goes to church on a Saturday night. It seems to be about every couple of weeks, and that's fine with me.
After Supper we opted for our usual entertainment for the night. Even tough we seldom participate in the activities of the park, even they are winding down now toward the end of the season. We are now planning to leave here at the end of the month and head northeast to Lake Havasu City and then east to Flagstaff.

Another nice day was dawning today even though it was expected to be partly cloudy later. Our usual big Breakfast today was put on hold and we just fended for ourselves for a change.
The Healthcare debate would be dominating the TV along with March Madness today. Two items that I wish would just go away without my participation. Unfortunately it looks like neither will.
By lunchtime today I was actually feeling much better than I had for the entire week. It looks like my cold has finally broken and I should be getting back to my old self in the next couple of days.
At pool time today we left and found less people in the pool today. Apparently the Upper Campground is starting to lose residents. An effect which does occur at this time of the year.
After the pool today we came home and had our leftover KFC for Supper tonight. It was just as good as it was last night and we always have just enough leftover to have another meal. We were satisfied with the additional meal and we managed to clean up all the leftovers.
While watching TV tonight we found out that the Healthcare Bill passed tonight. God help this country now. He's the only one who can.
We stayed in tune with the TV until it was time to turn out the lights and send the company home. We closed the windows and shuttered the blinds
