I had an excellent night last night, waking up a few times but going right back to sleep.  I hope this holds as a norm and not an exception.
We have a couple of things to do today that I can actually be some help for.  We started by dumping the holding tanks and putting some air I the "space-saver spare" tire that was now on the car.  It took us a few minutes to get everything situated but it worked out just fine.
We headed into town to get the tire fixed.  It had what looked like a drywall screw embedded in the tread part of the tire.  We stopped at the Big "O" tire and they gave us a 45 minute window before it was finished.  We decided that we would have enough time for lunch while we waited.  McDonald's was just across the parking lot and we had coupons for Big Macs so I guess the decision was hurriedly made what we would do for the 45.
We finished eating and by the time we started back we could see them drive the car back out into the parking lot.  Our timing had been impeccable.  We still needed to stop at K-Mart and pick up some stuff.  I decided to sit in the car while Sharon went shopping.  Besides it would much less time than having to wait for me to limp through the store.  She was back out in just a few minutes anyway.
We got back home and tried to log onto the Internet with Verizon and the Wireless Wi-Fi system here in the park.  I must have tried at least a half dozen times from this afternoon to late last night.  No luck whatsoever.  This happens occasionally and it makes me mad that I can't publish the Journal on time.
The wind has died down today and when the mountains cleared of all the clouds, there was plenty of snow on the peaks.  We had good TV with the cessation of the windy weather.  The sun was out today and we sat outside in the sun.  Actually I sat outside while Sharon cleaned the car this afternoon.  And she sat down when she was done.
When the sun started going down it started to get a little nippy, so we went inside.  It was almost time for supper anyway.   We had leftover Chicken Alfredo with Noodles with a salad and Creamed Corn tonight.  It was still very good indeed.
TV would be the entertainment of choice tonight.  We actually had a couple of new shows on to watch.  I don't know how long that will last with the Writer's strike still on.  There's a lot of Discovery, TLC and History Channel watching on our agenda.  Good shows that we hardly watch during the regular TV season.  We managed to stay up until 10:15 before we finally headed for the rack.

I had another pretty good night last night.  I didn't sleep all night but the sleeping pills seemed to work just fine.  Maybe I'm over the hump.
We really didn't have anything to do today and we just sat around and enjoyed the nice day.  It was overcast much of the morning and the clouds still blanketed the mountains but it burned off in the afternoon and the sun came out.
Sharon started cleaning the hacienda today.  She vacuumed and dusted but our windows are still spotted from Tularosa, where she washed the motorhome with hard water.
We called Phil and Joyce Bach this morning to see if we could get together today before they leave for Yuma.  We were going to meet them at In-n-out Burger just to have a late lunch at 4.  I came down with a cold and by the time 3 o'clock rolled around I was so sick I couldn't make it.  I was disappointed but what're you going to do.  We opted out of the date and Sharon went downtown to pick up some heavy duty medicine.
She picked up a couple different types of Zicam and I started taking them right away.
We watched TV for the rest of the night and the shows were repeats on regular channel but Discovery was still running original programming.  We hung in there with that til 10 and then went to bed.  I'm hoping I feel better in the morning.

I didn't feel much better this morning but at least I felt like I was getting better.  Sharon took off early with the laundry and got that done around 11.
When she got back I told her I was okay with Taco Wednesday if she wanted to go. We left and .got there about 12:20 and there was a huge crowd still in the clubhouse.  We usually go a little late to avoid the crowd but apparently they didn't have a 50-50 drawing today, and that made a difference in the size of the crowd.  The place usually empties out after the 50-50 drawing.
Luckily we didn't have a problem finding a place to sit.  There were a bunch of people who left just as we arrived.  We had our food and a couple of pitchers of suds and then headed for home.  I was ready for a nap by the time we got there.  I went directly to bed.  I was pulling a Sharon today.   She's usually the one to head for the bed for a nap.
I got up about an hour later and Sharon had already had her nap on the couch.  We weren't planning anything for supper so it didn't matter what time we got up.
We just snacked for supper as I had a double-decker PB&J and I don't even know what Sharon had.  She may have had cold cereal.
In any event there were a couple of our regular shows on tonight, repeats of course, but they were very good the first time around.  I couldn't find a thing on the Discovery or History Channels tonight so we were relegated to watching repeats.  It didn't really matter as we still lasted until 10 before the Sleep Fairy made an appearance with her magic dust.

Today was going to ne a "move" day.  We will travel 2 miles down the road and back to Catalina Spa today.  We didn't have to dump having done that the other day.  So we were quickly on the road after we picked everything up.    We saw Jack and Rosann at the Pickleball Court before we left and we were back at Catalina and set up before 10 o'clock.
This was progressing into a very beautiful day, indeed.  After lunch we took a walk over to the pool and had an ice cream cone.  We were sitting by the pool and greeting friends when the Browns and Parents walked in.  We had to tell the "Broken Leg" story a few times before we finally came back home.  This had  turned into a magnificent day, and quite frankly the nicest day we've had since we've been here.  I was even tempted to go into the pool today.  Since my doctor gave me the go ahead, I have only to do it.
We had leftover Stuffed Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Beets for supper tonight.  We also had a couple of nectars to lubricate the channel while we ate.  Supper was just as good as it was the first time.
We actually had new shows on the tube tonight, and they are a couple of our faves.  So needless to say, at least we were entertained for the night.
I sent an e-mail to Mary and Jerry Milan tonight detailing our plans when we return to Casa Grande to fly home.  They've offered to take care of a couple of our problem areas in the process.  But we need to confirm all the plans so we don't have any last minute glitches.
Me and the Bride held off the sleep fairy until 10 tonight.  There was no reason to fight the feeling any longer so we crashed.

We were up at our usual time this morning.  The sun was shining and it looked like it was going to be a fantastic day.
We just sat around the hacienda for most of the day just watching TV and enjoying the day.  We didn't have anything special to do for today so just doing nothing seemed like the right thing.
We had soup and minute steakums for lunch and they were really quite nice.  We've been carrying the steakums around for a month or so in the freezer.  We usually have the Andy's Steaks from home and these were not bad but not as good.
We caught Dirty Jobs on Discovery for most of the afternoon.  At 5 we took off for the VFW for a fish fry.  When we arrived, there was a duo setting up their instruments for music tonight.  It was a guy and girl and when they started playing they sounded pretty good, but we only came for a fish fry, so when we finished up our suds we left.
We finished off the night with a couple of new show on TV tonight.  We thought about going up to the clubhouse to listen to "The Cowboy Way" but step and a drag couldn't dance so what was the point.  We held out until 10 before we folded up our tents and closed the circus.  We were going to the casino tomorrow for Breakfast just to see if it's still any good.  We'll see.

We got up this morning with a full slate ahead of us.  By 8:30 we were ready to head off to the Agua Caliente Casino for their Buffet Breakfast.  The casino used to have the Buffet all week but now they only feature it on the weekend.  Same price, $7.99 including coffee and juice, which are ala carte anywhere else.  The food, we found, is just as good as it always was, and now it seems, the price not only includes omelettes, but Belgian Waffles.  With endless coffee being $2, and a large Juice being at least $2, the food comes to between $3.99-$4.99.  Not bad for a Buffet Breakfast with that vast choice of items.  We had called Jack and Rosann Last night to see if they wanted to go, but they never returned our call.  We just assumed they weren't interested.
After Breakfast we went to the Swap Sale at the Upper Clubhouse of Catalina.  Sharon bought a couple of trinkets, but as usual I couldn't find anything that I couldn't live without. We saw Jack at the Upper Pool and I talked to him for just a couple of minutes.  He said they got our message.   By this time it was starting to get warm and we realized what a wonderful day this was going to turn into.
We came back home and waited for the Packer Play-off game to start at 1:30.  Seattle started out by putting 14 points on the board from 2 Packer turnovers.  Man, what the hell did I wait for this, for.  But then "Packer Weather" started to set in and Green Bay put up 17 unanswered points.  This was looking like it was going to be a wonderful day after all.  The snow was actually falling so hard in Green Bay I called my Brother in Florida and asked him if he could see the game any better.  (HaHa) The game did turn out to be a shellacking of Seattle by Green Bay.
After the game, Sharon headed out for church with little time to spare.  She caught the last couple of minutes of the game and then flew out of here.  She would stop at Kentucky Fried Chicken on the way home and pick up supper.  She did, and we finished it off quite nicely.  The Chicken pieces were huge, and we had a couple leftover, so we'll probably have a lunch with the remainder.
We watched part of the Patriot/Jaguar game tonight as we flipped through the channels looking for something to watch.  The Patriots won of course but I was pulling for the Jags.  Tonight we lasted til 11 when we found a good show on the History Channel.  It was about the 18 months of crime during the John Dillinger era I actually watched the end of it in the bedroom.

Today was playoff day again in the NFL.  We had Sausage and Egg and Cheese Biscuits today for Breakfast.  Sharon was baking the biscuits while she was talking to Jennifer today on the phone, and they baked a little brown.  Baking the biscuits was not an unusual occurrence, and forgetting about them in the oven while talking to Jennifer was not unusual either.  The two of them just ramble on while they're on the phone.
The playoffs started early today at about 10 and the second game was on about 1:30.  They both featured upsets of the favored team.  The Chargers beat the Colts and the Giants beat the Cowboys.  We were interested in the second loss only.  Now the Giants will be going to the Frozen Tundra in Green Bay for the Championship game.
Sharon's cold that she probably picked up from me took a turn for the worse today.  She was sniffling, coughing and sneezing today big time.  She could only muster enough strength for a bowl of soup for herself, but she did manage to heat up chicken leftovers for me.  A trouper til the end.  She's got more moxy than I do.
After Supper she went to the bedroom to lay down for a while.  I don't know if she slept or not but she was back out again about 7:30 to watch a little TV.  We watched a couple of shows together and then went to bed at 10.
