We’re starting out a new week but we still don’t have our motorhome back and we’re still in the Park Model in our homepark.  We’re hoping that the coach will be ready by Wednesday afternoon.  We have to call them this week to se if it will be ready or not.

We called Redlands Truck Service today and they know the coach won’t be ready by Wednesday.  Rolando Is telling us that they hope by Friday afternoon we can pick it up but to call them again mid-afternoon on Thursday.

We called Redlands Truck Service around noon today, as instructed, and the news was not good.  They told us that they were shooting for late Friday afternoon but that wasn’t a sure thing.  I got a call from Keith, the owner, and he was telling us early next week.  This is not really working out well, but it’s not like we really had much choice in selecting a place to have it repaired.  We got a call from Rolando and he indicated that they were still shooting for Friday night.  We do not have much confidence in that information, however.

A Digiorno’s pizza was enjoyed for supper tonight.

We heard from Redlands this afternoon and they told us it would be finished on Monday.  They have to put a sealer on Monday morning that requires 6 hours to cure and then we can have it.

They offered to let us stay in it over this weekend but with my crutches and everything, we decided that we’d stay here over the weekend.  So with any luck we can start home on Tuesday morning.  We’re keeping our fingers crossed until Monday.

We had Shrimp Creole for Supper tonight.  One of my favorites.

Another day in the Palace Hotel and not much happening.  Sharon has got her allergies back and coughing and hacking.  We were both up early this morning cause we couldn’t sleep.  She came around again by this afternoon.  We just can’t wait to get out of here.  If Monday falls through we’ll be pissed.  We were ready for take-out food again tonight and Sharon was, of course, the gopher.  I had a Carne Asada Burrito and Sharon had a burger from All Star Burger up on the cornerWe both enjoyed our Dinner very much.

Sharon was off to church this morning after we both had a good night’s sleep.  I held down the “fort” as I’ve been doing for the past 4 weeks.  She’ll be back around 11 and just in time for lunch.  Today she’s decided that we’ll do Subway.  We haven’t had that in 5 months. 

It’s been a long time since we’ve slept in the motorhome.  In fact it’s been twenty days since we had the comfort of our own digs.  Needless to say we are anxious for tomorrow to come to get on our way home.

Our last day will be another day of staying inside, away from the heat, but packing our stuff to get an early start tomorrow.  With any “luck” we’ll be at Redlands to pick up the coach at noon.  It’s only 53 miles from here so we’ll have some last minute time to make it there.  Although it took us more than an hour and a half to deliver the coach to Redlands because of the traffic.

Our stay in this Park Model has been comfortable, although inconvenient.  I haven’t been able to swim in the pool for that last 3 weeks and I’ve dragged Sharon down with me. 

A return trip to Michigan through Oregon and Washington has been thwarted because of the recent mishap of the roof and it’s repairs.  Perhaps next year will be more advantageous.

I’M POSTING EARLY THIS WEEK SO I DON’T HAVE TO DO IT TOMORROW MORNING.  BESIDES THERE’S A SLIM CHANCE THAT ANYTHING “NEWSWORTHY” WILL HAPPEN THE REST OF THE DAY.
