I was up around 7, had breakfast and went for a walk.  I haven’t been for a walk in a while.  Guess my mind and body has been busy.  I left to see Bill after lunch.  He looked and felt good today.  Arlene and Henry came to see him.  They are leaving tomorrow for Yuma, so we won’t see them til next year, if we all come out this way again.  Henry had been carving out a wolf while he’s been here.  It’s a 10"x15" very detailed wood carving and it’s beautiful.  We thought he was making it for a friend of his back home, but they brought it today and gave it to Bill.  We were quite surprised and moved by his gift.  Phil and Joyce also stopped in to say good bye to Bill.  They are from Martinez, CA, come here for the months of January and March.  We all wished that our visits would have been at the campground and not in the rehab, but it is what it is.  Larry came in to take Bill to physical therapy, so I went with for a while.  We joke about his therapists beating him up and today Larry actually did, not on purpose.  He was working on his bad leg strengthening it with a stretch band on his foot, when it slipped off and slapped him in the calf.  The air in the room got a little ‘blue’, so I decided to leave the two of them.  Larry apologized, we knew he didn’t mean to ‘beat him up’.
I came home to the last cocktail hour with Arlene and Henry, Phil and Joyce stopped over after the pool.  This one lasted til 7pm, we had to pause in the middle to get warmer clothes on.  It was 78' today but when the sun goes down, so does the temp.
Bill called with some good news.  After I left, they stopped the IV today and he’s on pills.  His wound Dr is coming in on Wed and Dr Bir will be in on Thursday.  So there’s progress!
I warmed up my pork chops and green beans for my late supper.  A little tv and finished my marble puzzle before going off to bed.

I was up way too early this morning.  Starting with some crazy dream at 4 am that had me screaming, followed by another at screaming nightmare at 5:45.  Good thing Bill isn’t home, he would have jump and I probably would have kicked his leg.  So by 6 am, I decided not to try sleeping again.  Went for breakfast at The Cottage with Terry and Joann.  Yes I know I go there often, but not as often and Terry and Joann ask me to go.  They had to bring their dog, Ginger, to the groomer at 8:30, so we met at 9 and stayed til 10:45 when it was time to pick Ginger up.  Terry can drink coffee til the cows come home.
Went to see Bill a little later.  It’s 17 miles and takes about 25 minutes.  His foot was sore from the nurse cleaning it today.  He didn’t do any leg therapy today but did do the arm workout with Charles.  Larry (from yesterday) came in and still wanted to do some leg stretches.  I stayed a couple minutes and I was out of there.  He’s a great guy but pushes Bill a little too much.  Maybe it’s good but it just doesn’t set well with Bill.
I rested a little when I came home after my crazy night, before I grilled my steak.  It was very good, just like the last one.  We’re hoping Bill will be home soon, so I get my steaks in now, he’s not that crazy for them.  While watching TV for the evening, I started my Christmas craft project that I had bought earlier.  It is stitching cut out Christmas tree ornaments onto another piece of material that can be made into a pillow or framed.  Went to bed by 9 but read a book with short stories, given to me by my friend, Mary.

Not happy doing Bill’s ‘job’ of getting up at 5:30, I need him home so I can sleep.  One good thing is, it gets me up and out the door for a walk, just not that early.  Tomorrow is moving day, 1 ½ miles to Desert Pools, so I started to put things away.  Things like sewer, chairs, rug, grill and water hose.  The rest will wait til tomorrow.  Had lunch and went to see how Bill did this morning with Dr Anderson, wound Dr.  His foot was a little sore and with a new bandage.  She cut away quite a bit on top of his foot.  He did therapy with Charles, working on the arms.  It makes him sweat, so I guess it’s making him workout like it should.  He wanted to take a shower when getting back to his room.  Charles or a nurse has to stay to make sure he doesn’t fall, so Charles stayed with us.  We did find out that they plan on keeping him there for another week.  Some vacation he’s having.  At least I am able to be out and about.  He was tired after everything and wanted a nap, so I left.  And like him, I finally got a nap in too when I got home.  Had chicken, potato and carrots for supper.  Phil and Joyce are leaving tomorrow, so I stopped over to say good buy and tell them that Bill will be there for another week or so.  My night was tv and another short story in my book.

I got up by 7am and had everything unplugged and put away by the time Terry and Joann came to pick me up at 8:30 for breakfast.  We were set to move about 10:30, everything went just fine.  Joann drove my car and Terry directed me into my site.  He also hooked up everything, what a nice guy.
Later on, I made my usual trip to see Bill.  He’s doing good.  I brought him the computer so he can see some emails and start his newsletter.  No site seeing in this one folks!  I went to therapy with him.  It gives me an idea about what they are doing for him and if I should have to keep it up when he comes home.....like I will be able too, NOT, but I will try.
I make perogi for supper and put spaghetti sauce on but it wasn’t a good mix.  And then my usual, tv and puzzle on my nook.

It started to rain last night and rained all day today.  I went to the post office to mail a few letters.  After lunch I went to see Bill.  Maryann, Roy, Diana and Terry had been there to visit this morning.  All our friends help break up his day with their visits.  I know he really appreciates the visits.  The therapist came in and again I went with them.  After therapy, I helped him wash his hair and clean up.
I cooked the rest of the pirogi tonight like they should be done, fry in butter and onions.  That was good.  After cleaning up, I started a new puzzle.  This one is of the Green Bay Packers stadium, with cartoon like characters for the crowd.  It’s a fun one.  Stayed up til 10:30 pm, working on the puzzle and tv playing in the backgound.

It wasn’t raining when I got up, but still cloudy and cool.  I went for a walk around the park and saw where Terry and Diana were parked.  I stopped to talk to them and of course, they offered their help if I ever need it.
Joann and Terry stopped over for coffee.  They were helping move some friends move into the park.  Shortly after they left, I left to see Bill.  They were there visiting him.  Before they left, they invited me to breakfast tomorrow morning with them and their friends.  Which means I will go to church tonight then.  I took Bill out on the patio in his wheel chair.  It’s too far for a walk.  It was a little sunny out and very pleasant for a sit.
I stopped at the $.99 store on my way home.  This store is awesome, with all kinds of fruit and veggies.  As I said, I went to church for 5 pm mass.  Supper was not the best.  I made a turkey burger with bacon, cheese and onions.  Don’t know why, but it just didn’t hit the spot.  Finished my Packer puzzle and a little tv.

It’s a bit cooler out today, so jeans are in order for my breakfast date with Terry, Joann and friends, Theresa and Bob.  Of course we went to the Cottage.  It was very busy today but service and food were great.  Laundry was the next thing on my agenda today.  I wanted to get it done before my visit to see Bill.  I also called our daughter, Jennifer, who is having a birthday today....Happy Birthday Jenn!
Bill misses listening to Rush so I brought a radio in but it wasn’t getting the station as good as it should.  Tomorrow I will bring my walkman in and we’ll try that.  He’s getting withdrawal from being without it for a month.  Even though it was cooler out today, the sun was nice and warm, so we went outside for a sit in the patio.  It’s nice for him to get outside with fresh air and feel like the rest of us enjoying it.
I stopped at the Pavilions grocery store on my way home.  I haven’t had the best meals on my own lately.  Just having a little of this and that.  I decided to shop for meat and make some good meals for myself.  So a pork roast and grilled chicken dinners will be on my menu.  I did buy a chicken marsala tv dinner for tonight and it was very good along with a salad.  Got my laundry put away and ironing done.  Relaxed with tv and a little reading.
