Well last night was not the night for a good sleep but I guess I knew that when I decided to stay. I left there by 6:30am, and it was 45' outside. It was a little cold for the shorts that I had on when I went in yesterday. I came home, showered, ate and was back there by 9:30. Dr Gauto came in about 10:30 and we now have 3 days with no new dead tissue. Dr Bir also came in and they were talking about who to get for the skin graphs later on down the road. They brought a walker in for Bill to use. So now he can use that to go 8 feet to the bathroom. It’s much better than the port-a-pot and one more step to independence. I stayed till 6pm and came home. It was a good day today.

I got to the hospital about 9am. Bill was suppose to go to surgery in the morning. At 11:45 they called to say they were coming. About 12:30, they were there. After 2 hours, they said he wouldn’t have it done for a couple more hours. So we chose to go back to his room. Dr Gauto came in to check the wound and gave us good news. He said it looks the best since it started. Bill finally went down for the surgery at 5:30pm. Not good news from doc as he said all arteries were blocked and he couldn’t get through any of them. Now we will just work on healing the wound. After the recovery, I stayed with Bill til after midnight and then came home. It was pouring rain as I walked out to my car. Good thing I planned on it and had my umbrella. As you can see, I have nothing else to write about, because I don’t do anything else.

I slept till 8:30, a much needed sleep. The last few days have been quite trying on both of us. I’m moving tomorrow, so I ‘dumped’ and put the hose, carpet and stuff away so I won’t have to do it tomorrow.
Both doctors were in and said he has some circulation in his foot and apparently enough to keep healing the foot. So that’s the plan.
Dick Smith called while I was with Bill and said he was coming for a visit. We haven’t seen him since last year. Even though we were in the hospital, we had a nice visit. He will be here for a couple weeks, hope we can visit again.
I left Bill about 5:30 and stopped at Walmart for some much needed groceries. I came home and had some of the rotiserie chicken that I bought, along with a salad and some fresh french bread. I caught up on some emails and I’m ready for bed.

Today is moving day. I had the rest of our stuff put away and had the motor home ready to roll by 9:30 when JoAnn and Terry came to get me for breakfast. I can’t get into Desert Pools till 11:00, so we planned on going to the Cottage for breakfast. I got into my site there with Terry’s help and JoAnn driving my car there. It’s only 1 ½ miles but you still have to take down and set up no mater how far the trip is.
I went to see Bill after set up and he’s having a bad day. To be honest, he’s sick and tired of being in the hospital for almost 2 months and everything that goes along with it. We hope it’s not much longer, but we don’t know. JoAnn and Terry stop to see him. We had some laughs about the damn things that go on there that would piss anyone off. They invited me to supper, she was having pork chops. It’s not Bill’s favorite but if he could get out, he would eat them, just to be out.
When I got home, I set up the Direct TV and put some things away that I didn’t take time to do before going to see Bill.

I slept till 8am, very nice. I went to see Bill about 10am. Bill asked the nurses if they could get a wheel chair for him and if I could take him for a ride. So after 2 wheel chairs, it still wasn’t the right kind with the proper leg lift, but we made it work and went for a ride or push, around the hospital. It was so uplifting for Bill, he couldn’t wait til I got back after lunch to go again.
I met JoAnn, Terry and Dick Smith at Applebee’s for lunch. Dick is from Matinez, CA and is only here for a couple weeks. We had a very enjoyable lunch and visit.
After lunch, I went back to the hospital. Bill still had the wheel chair in his room, so the nurse hooked up the IV and we went for another spin. This time we went down to the Cafeteria. I bought Bill a piece of pumpkin pie and we both had a coke. I wheeled him outside on the patio. It was sunny and warm. Such a great day for both of us.
After coming home about 4pm, I went to do my much needed laundry. I even finished it by doing my ironing while watching tv. It was a great day today.

There were a couple patio sales in parks near me so I went there before going to see Bill. Neither of them had anything I was interested in.
Bill is doing good. Dr Gauto says there’s no more infection and he’s on the way to recovery. He enjoys going for a ride in the wheel chair around the hospital and outside on the patio. JoAnn and Terry came for a visit, so we all went down to the patio. It’s nice to get out in the sun. Bill hasn’t had any outside time in months. I left about 4pm and went to Mass.
I stopped at Kmart after church for some shopping. Came home and Made a delicious grilled chicken sandwich on french bread. Watched a little telly for the night.

I woke up at 8am, rolled over and went back to sleep til 9:30. Can’t remember when I’ve done that. Went to see Bill after getting up and ready. We watched the Daytona 500, had lunch, they changed his dressing on his foot and we went for our ‘ride’. It was sunny out but only about 68'. It still felt good to sit out there. We had a snack and a coke. The birds and ducks come around looking for a crumb. There is a pond and waterfall alongside the patio. It’s a very nice relaxing area to go to. I left there about 5pm.
I had some chicken left over that I bought at the Walmart deli the other day, so I warm it up along with a salad and green beans for my supper. Watched the Oscars and read before going to bed.
