Sharon was off to Curves (her exercise program) this morning while I held down the fort.  I got a call shortly after she left and she said she couldn't find the place, and needed their phone number.  She told me to look it up in the GPS and report back.  With the phone number in tow, she managed to locate their new spot.
We had intended to go to JB's this morning for Breakfast and we went as soon as she got back.  JB's is a little restaurant on Florence Boulevard that has a Breakfast Buffet for $5.99 and a Senior Discount.  Their food is very good and we've been eating there for years.  This morning was no exception as we were well sated as we left the restaurant.
We needed to make a side trip to the Post Office this morning to buy stamps for the Christmas Cards that Sharon has been busily addressing over the past two days.  We stopped after Breakfast and then went to Jerry and Mary Milan's to visit for awhile.  They are old friends that we took a cruise with several years ago.  When we got there they were searching for "lady".  A Mexican Chihuahua that likes to run away from home.  The whole neighborhood was looking for her, but she was running around outside Jerry and Mary's when we arrived.  The neighbors were trying to herd her into the house without grabbing her, because apparently several of them have been bitten already.  We stayed and visited for a while before we headed back home again.
Me and the Mrs. decided to do a little resting this afternoon to digest our Breakfast and we both took a little nap.  I was watching American Chopper when Sharon finally arose for the rest of the day.
Sharon whipped up "Turkey ala King and biscuits" for supper tonight.  We also had a can of cold beets which seemed to accent the meal very well.  Everything was quite good.
We squatted in front of the TV for the night and had no problem finding enough to watch until the usual bedtime for Bonzo.  We had had a very nice day today and the weather also co-operated being in the low 70's.

Sharon was off to Curves this morning at 8 when she finally got ready to go.  I think she'll be right in the groove in a couple of days.  She'll just be getting her schedule settled and we'll be moving on to Desert Hot Springs.
We went to In-N-Out Burger today for lunch.  It was almost the final stop in the "annual round-robin" of eating places that we always frequent on our winters out here.  We've got a couple more stops in Desert Hot Springs and then the circle will be complete.
I stopped at Verizon when we finished lunch and tried to make some sense out of our new data plan.  They were no help and I certainly wasn't satisfied when I left.  I still have no definitive answers why our plan is now so expensive.
We stopped at 2 Family Dollars on the way home looking for cheap Diet Coke.  We found it for $1.20 as opposed to $1.69 at the grocery store.  So we picked up 8 2-liter bottles.  That'l hold us for a couple of weeks.
When I got home I had to hunt up a nut and bolt to fix the cover on the grill.  I noticed the cover was hanging the other day when I grilled the Ribs for our supper.  Although the cover didn't change the taste of the ribs at all, they were still absolutely delicious.
I also had to find a Reindeer in my Clipart book for the Logo on the Newsletter this month.  I managed to find one but I'm still uncertain what I'll do with the Logo.
We just snacked for supper tonight.  It seems like whenever we go out for lunch we don't feel like eating later on.  At least we didn't go to bed hungry.
Tonight started our favorite days for TV except that it looks like most of the shows will be repeats now until after Christmas.  The DVR allows us to watch shows on the cable channels that we normally don't see on a regular basis.  So we hung in there until 10 wit those shows and then folded up our tents and headed for the bedroom.

We had our morning planned out today.  We were going to McDonald's for Breakfast and then headed over to the Ford Dealer to check out the Ford Excape.  The Excape is an SUV that we can tow behind the motorhome.
I showered and got dressed and Sharon went to her exercise class after her shower.  We were both ready to go by the time she got back.
After Breakfast we headed to Glenn Jones Ford just down the road from our campground.  We examined several Escapes that they had on the lot and found that it could work out for us very well.  They even had a unit that was up in Buckeye that would fit our requirements exactly.  They even had someone who could remount our towbar before we leave after Christmas.  We were quite tempted except that we wanted to hold onto our Malibu for a second car.  So we told them we would think, about it.  We came home and checked for the same vehicle on the Internet and found one in Marquette, Michigan 75 miles from home.  So we're confident we can find one either there or in Green Bay.  After thinking about we were confident that we made the right decision.
Sharon decided to take off with the laundry and catch up on that today after she called Jerry and Mary Milan to see if they were planning on going to the Elks tonight.  They didn't answer so she left a message to call us.
Mary called back later saying that Jerry was busy this afternoon but that they could go around 5:30 if that was okay.  It was, and we met them at the Elks Club right at 5:45.  We also ran into Jayce Dale, from home, at the Elks tonight.  We knew she was going to be there after Sharon talked to her the other day.  We manage to see her every year, at least once, while we're here during our two visits.  We still need to stop over to their campground so we can see her "new" trailer.
We got home tonight about 8 because we were among the last people served our food tonight.  It was our own fault as we got a late start tonight.
Our shows were all taped tonight and we played them as soon as we got settled.  We managed to get them all in before 10:30 since most shows are only about 44 minutes out of the hour.  We still went to bed at our usual hour.

This was truly going to be a do-nothing day today.  Except for Sharon, who went to her exercise class, and when she came home announced  "I'm not going or doing anything today."
So  today would be a perfect day to work on the Newsletter.  I've got a couple of ideas for stories and I still need to work on the logo for this month.  It's really not due out until the end of the month so I still have plenty of time.
The weather turned ugly today.  It got a few degrees cooler and the rain started to fall.  It's supposed to rain all day today.
We stayed pretty close to the hacienda all day today since we really had noone to see, and no place to go.
And I was certainly content to sit and watch TV all day and catch up on some of our taped shows.
We had Turkey ala King for lunch and heated up the leftover Ribs for supper tonight.  They were both still very good.
The rest of the night was capped off with us staring at the tube for the next 4 hours.  Although most of the shows are now repeats, Thursday is a pretty good night for TV.
At 10 we turned out the lights and declared the party over.

After Sharon got back from her usual visit to Curves we left to go to Golden Corral for their Buffet Breakfast.  We were under the impression that the Buffet was only on Fri, Sat, and Sun.  Sharon thought she read that on the sign out in front of the restaurant.  They have it all week we found out.
After Breakfast we stopped at the Salvation Army to see if they had Knitting Needles for the hatmaker.  They didn't so we were on our way again shortly afterward.
We came back home and got ourselves into a comfortable position and rested our Breakfasts.  The food was quite good at "the Corral" today.
Later this afternoon Sharon took off for the grocery store to pick up a few items for the dessert she was making for our visit to my Cousin Tom McKenna's tomorrow.  He and his wife Dawn live down in Tucson which is about 40 miles from our campground.  We try to make at least one stop there while we are here in Casa Grande.  Last year we couldn't get together at all in December, and when we started home last year we took a northern route which didn't come through Tucson.
We didn't have a regular supper tonight which normally happens when we go out for Breakfast.  We just fended for ourselves and then settled in front of the tube for the night.  And it certainly didn't keep us up past 10, however.

We were scheduled to go to my Cousin Tom's in Tucson today but we weren't leaving home until this afternoon.
Jerry and Mary Milan stopped over just before lunch and announced that they were going to the Craft Sale at the Clubhouse today.  They're Western Horizon members and often used to participate in a lot of the activities here at the park.  But since they moved into a more permanent park they join in the activities there.
I decided to jump in the shower while they were gone, and managed to get finished and dressed before they came back.
They came back in about an hour after they found some old friends that were in the park.  We sat and talked for about an hour and then they left to go home.
By 2:30 we got in the car and headed down to Tucson.  It's about 60 miles down to my Cousin's but it only took about 45 minutes to get there.  With the Speed Limit at 75 it doesn't take long to go 60 miles, and it's all Interstate from here to there.
We had a lovely Dinner with Tom, Dawn and my Aunt Caroline.  We had Flank Steak, Cheesy Fried Potatoes and Cheesy Broccoli.  Sharon had made the dessert and that went down very nicely also.  In fact she left half of what was left over from the 4 layer dessert and Dawn gave us a nice sampling of the leftover steak.  It had been a very nice evening.
We were back home again by 8 PM and quickly settled in for a little tube before we headed for the feathers for the night.

Sharon was off to church this morning and then to a couple of other places to do some shopping as long as she was at it.
We also needed to have our holding tanks dumped today, so I took care of that in the meantime.
It looked like the weather was on it's way back to warm again today, and that's exactly what happened.  The sun came out, the sky cleared up; and it was a beautiful day.
Sharon came back about noon and we ate lunch.  She had leftover steak from yesterday, and I l finished up the Turkey ala King from the other day.  And, of course, because we ate a substantial lunch neither of us was hungry for supper.
We waited all afternoon for the Packer game that was going to be on at 6 tonight.  Green Bay was picked to lose to the Patriots big, but they gave New England fits all night long and only lost to them on an interception deep in Patriot territory at the end of the game.  Green Bay looked like a grade school football team when they tried to run a hurry-up offense, and literally ran out of time.
We were disappointed to say the least but we've come to expect games like this.  We camped in front of the TV for the rest of the night which spanned only about an hour after the game was over.
