We got up this morning and it was wet outside. It had rained last night and the forecast was for more rain today. Actually the forecast is for rain over the next 3 days.
We were off for Breakfast again this morning only this time to Golden Corral. It was located right across the street from our campground. This restaurant has a unique way of getting extra money out of you. They charge you right up front for the beverages, so the Breakfast is automatically about $4 more. With so many cheap Buffets here this was no bargain at all.
After Breakfast we headed out to the Post Office annex to buy some stamps for the Newsletters. The annex is about halfway to the regular Post Office. I had printed, folded and stapled them yesterday and got them ready to go out. We had a few stamps on hand so I used them up.
After mailing out the Newsletters we came back home for awhile and then Sharon wanted to take a trip down the strip to see if she could find a gift for Brady since he was the only one she didn't have something for.
So we drove about halfway down the strip before she had the bright idea to stop at Wal-Mart and see if she could find anything in there. She was back out in about 15 minutes and we were on our way home.
Sharon took off with the laundry when we got home and was gone for the next 2 hours. This last washing will definitely take us all the way home, and we'll only have a minimum of wash to do after getting there.
We mostly just sat around for the rest of the day since the weather was so crummy out today, anyway. It didn't get ay better, except that the sun poked it's nose out a couple of times.
We were fending for ourselves again tonight for Supper. Neither of us felt like eating anything regular, so we both just had a Bologna Sandwich, and a snack for dessert. The bright part of the day was the fact that "24" was on tonight. There's only a few more episodes left and somethings gotta give.
We both headed for the sleep chamber at the same time tonight. 10:30 was the magic time when we executed the disappearing act.

Today was going to be a "get ready to go" day today. The usual dumping of the holding tanks and cleaning up our site would be happening sometime today. Although we didn't have much to clean up today since the only thing we took out in the last week was a lawn chair that Sharon was using while she read outside. It's been so warm out that we just didn't feel like doing anything outside for any period of time.
I got the holding tanks taken care of before we went for lunch. And before the rain that was forecast, started falling. We still had some cash value left on our Olive Garden Gift card so we decided to go there for lunch. We realized that if we didn't do it quickly we'd have to wait until next year to spend it. We have no Olive Garden near home except for Green Bay.
We had the Soup, Salad and Breadsticks for lunch, and as usual, it was very good. We had a little spare room after we ate so we ordered the Zeppoli. It's a little pastry pillow fried and covered with Powdered Sugar, that you dip in a Chocolate Ganache. They were also very good but we couldn't finish them, so we brought them home with us. We'll finish them off tonight while we're watching TV.
We stopped on the way home to fill up the gas tank on the car, since it probably won't be any cheaper on the way home. It was $1.929 here.
The rest of my "get ready to go" chores I finished up after I got home. It was already starting to get warm and muggy by this time, but I had to get the windshield washed and cleaned for the trip. Cleaning the windshield has become a chore in itself. By the time I got done I had worked up quite a sweat.
As usual, neither of us was hungry for Supper, so we just threw together whatever we wanted later on. And, of course, we had the Zeppoli to finish up also.
We settled in front of the Telly for the night. We had a couple of our favorites on tonight and we caught them before we ambled off to bed. We wouldn't be leaving early tomorrow but we both need to be rested cause we'll have a long driving day.

We were on our way this morning, not necessarily early, but in just enough time to stop at Lambert's Café in Ozark, Missouri. And in fact it was a very timely stop since the gas in Ozark ($1.779) was cheaper than we found it all day. It may have been cheaper than we'll find it all the way home.
Our stop at Lambert's was a very fruitful one. We took our Chicken Wings home and all of our sides. Carrots, Candied Yams and 2 orders of Fried Apples were all in boxes and bags when we left. And we were full from all the pass-arounds. This is a great place to eat.
We were back on the road by 11:15 right after we finished our "lunch". We would be driving our guts out today to make it to Wenona, Illinois and the Princess Wenona Campground. Princess Wenona is a gas station with full hook-ups that we stopped at on the way south this year.
The rest of our day was pretty uneventful including our trip Through St. Louis, MO. We made it to Wenona at 6:30 and pulled directly into a "campsite". We got the dish set up and Sharon got about heating up our lefovers from Lambert's. It didn't take long and we were sitting down to a Chicken Wing Dinner, with the fixin's.
After Dinner we just settled in front of the tube and relaxed for the rest of the night. By the time 10 rolled around we were both ready for the funny farm. It was a little noisy here last night and the rain, that they had predicted all day, finally began to fall. The wind picked up; and it started flapping our awnings, but it only succeeded in putting us to sleep tonight.

After we got our stuff together this morning, Sharon went to the resident Burger King and got our Breakfast. We were up, but we really didn't get on the road til about 9:50 this morning. It was still raining from last night but only misting somewhat. We had a pretty uneventful day except for being forced onto the wrong road when we were heading toward South Beloit. There was construction and we were behind a Semi and were in the wrong lane and had to exit. We actually ended up avoiding the Toll and really lost very little time.
We got into Racine, Wisconsin about 2 PM. It was still raining when we got to my Sister's house. We waited for the rain to stop before we plugged in and leveled the coach. We sat around talking for several hours while Marge cooked a delicious meal of Stuffed Pork Chops, Baked Potatoes and a Salad. We were so stuffed from Supper we didn't even have room for Dessert.
By 7 we were done with Dinner and the "fleecing" could begin. Except for the last few times we've been here the card game has taken our money. Sharon has officially turned the tables on them over the past 3 visits. She actually even cleaned house pretty good on one visit. She made about $4, but that didn't include what I lost.
We were back in the motorhome about 10. We were both tired so we immediately hit the hay when we got home. Sharon lined up the dish before she went, however, so I'll have TV tomorrow morning.

We awoke to another overcast day today. It looked like it could rain but the sun wanted to poke it's nose out also.
We went inside the house to have our usual Kringle and the Cherry variety was very delicious. We also had the dessert that we didn't have room for last night after Dinner. It was a Whipped Cream, Butterfinger, Angel Food Cake number that was very good.
After Breakfast and Dessert we decided that Wally would take us on the tour of Racine. We have been on it a couple of times before but he always manages to find something that we haven't seen before. We got back right around 2 and got the motorhome turned around, and the car hooked up, and we were on the road again to West Bend, Wisconsin.
The traffic wasn't too bad coming through Milwaukee and we got to Sean's house by about 4. Julie and Katelin got home about 4:30 and came out to the motorhome and we sat and talked for awhile. Katelin was having a good time bouncing around the motorhome.
By the time Sean got home, Stephanie and the girls were already here and we ordered pizza for supper. Mark walked in a little while later and the feast was on. We did a pretty good job of damaging 3 Large pizzas from Pizza Hut and a couple of orders of Breadsticks.
By about 10 the "party" was beginning to fade and everybody was getting sleepy. So shortly afterward everybody dispersed their separate ways and Sharon and I came out to the motorhome to hit the rack. By the time we get home tomorrow we'll be ready to just sit and relax a couple of. days just to unwind.

We were up this morning ready for the Pancake Breakfast that Sean and Julie had invited us to. Sean was making pancakes from scratch from a recipe from Alton Brown on Food Network. We were in the house by 9 after our showers and getting the motorhome ready to roll.
The pancakes and sausage were absolutely delicious, and Sean is turning into quite the Chef. It took us about an hour to eat and say our good-byes and get back out to the motorhome and on the road.
Our trip was pretty uneventful, and we stopped for lunch at McDonald's just outside of Green Bay. We only stopped long enough to eat and we were rolling again.
Our next stop was at home in Iron Mountain and we got there about 2:30.
After getting parked we took off in the car for Jennifer and Tom's house and we were there for about a half hour and saw Nicole and Jen before we left for Jess and Mike's. Stella was napping when we got there, so we sat and chatted for about a half hour before Mike woke her up and we got to see her.
We had gone full circle and now we were home for the summer.
