I started feeling god again for the first time in two weeks.  I still had a lousy night with a nightmare, but at least I apparently seem to be getting better.
We ate Breakfast in the motorhome this morning before we went into the house, and finally went in about 11.
Mary and Dennis have noticed an improvement in my condition since we've been here.  They have to be anxious for us to move on, but haven't said so.  Everybody has been just great to me and waiting on me, hand and foot.
I sat upright in a recliner all day today except for the times I got up and walked around.  I stayed inside until about half-time of the Bears football game.  They lost the game in the final moments.  Dennis is an avid Bear fan.  They rest of us are Packer fans.  We'll be at odds next week when they play
I watched the end of the game when Sharon came out and we headed off to our respective beds about 10.  Her to the couch and me to the bedroom.  We slept together once since the accident.  It was because I had a serious nightmare about her and I was worried about her safety. (Imagined of course)
She stayed with me til about 3 in the morning and then retired to her "bed."

I was up this morning having rested very well all night.  Except for the nightmare I slept all night through until Sharon woke me up coughing at about 7:30.
We both cleaned up and went inside the house about 9 this morning having had a bowl of oatmeal before we went in.  Sharon made a few phone calls to Medco and AOR to take care of a little business.
Sharon showed Mary how to make pasties this morning making two batches (16) before lunch.  So as long as they were ready we had pasties for lunch.
After lunch we went shopping to the Pistachio Gift Store and I picked up a T-shirt.  I couldn't stand up very long, but it was really my first time out, so I was happy with myself.
When we got home, Sharon and Dennis washed the motorhome and dumped the holding tanks getting ready to leave tomorrow morning.  We'll pull out as soon as we can get ready tomorrow.
We had Ham sandwiches and Spaghetti for supper tonight.  It was very good.
We only lasted til 8 tonight before we headed out to the mobile hacienda and some pre-sleep TV watching.  We caved before 10 but we also wanted to be alert for the trip tomorrow.  Sharon figures she's got about an 8 hour drive ahead of her.

We were up early this morning wanting to get on the road and get going.  We would leave Tularosa and head toward Casa Grande, AZ for the next 3 days.  It was a long trip and we didn't arrive until 5:30 P.M.  We stopped for cheap gas in Deming, NM to no avail.  We stopped in Lordsburg, NM and picked it up for the price that Sharon had checked last night on the Internet. ($2.64)
On the way we called Mary and Jerry Milan to see if they were free tonight.  They were, and stopped over with pizza as soon as we were settled.  We spent the whole night just reminiscing.  We actually talked about our flight out of here next month and the couple things we were worried about.  When we fly out they have offered to take care of the piddly things we were worried about, and also offered to drive us to Phoenix on the day of our flight.  That was quite generous of them.
We ate our pizzas and shot the breeze until aboput 9 when Mary and I both were tired from today's activities.  She had had a skin graft this morning and her leg was quite sore.  Sharon was also pooped from a 425 mile drive.
After they left we watched TV for a short period and then headed off to NaNa land.  By 10 we were both sawing logs.

Sharon went to the office this morning to see if we would have to move our site or if we could just stay here for another day or so.  To make a long story short, we'll be moving as soon as we can get ready to go.
After we got settled,Sharon took off to do some shopping for Christmas.  I had to gather together and sort all our expense slips since the hospital stay and get them recorded.  She was gone about an hour and a half and was back around lunchtime.  I was done with my "work" by that time.
Sharon called Jayce Dale, from home, who stays in Casa Grande for the winter.  She was just getting her hair done but would take a ride over after she was done.
We spent the afternoon talking and reminiscing with Jayce.  She stayed for a few hours and then left.  It was getting to be around suppertime anyway.
.  I got a call from Jack and Roseann Derlein from Catalina Spa.  They were wondering where we were and how long it would be before we got out there.  They were also with Corky and Deb Zimmermann all from Wisconsin.  It sounded like the noises of a Happy Hour.
We sat around watching TV for the night.  The trouble is that all the shows are officially re-runs now.  From the looks of the writer's strike we'll be watching re-runs until hell freezes over.

We had a couple of things to do today including getting a blood test to check my Coumadin level.  I haven't had it checked since I left the hospital.
Sharon went grocery shopping and spent a load of cash to get enough credit to get ten cents off a gallon of gas.  It seemed like a good idea the time.
Sharon wasn't feeling good this afternoon so she laid down for most of the afternoon.  She still wasn't feeling very good when she finally got up.
Jerry and Mary Milan called later on in the afternoon and asked if we had any plans for tonight.  We didn't and they decided to stop over and visit which was just fine with us.
They came by about 7:30 and we sat and talked until about 9:30.  We both thoroughly enjoy their company.
After they left we hung in there for about an hour of TV and then hit the hay.  We were going to have another long day ahead of us tomorrow.  Much longer for Sharon since she'll be driving again.

We were off and running early today.  We had planned to get on the road early and we were on our way west by 8:30.  Early even for our regular standards.  We stopped for gas at the Safeway and quickly found gas was 4 cents cheaper at another station.  Man, sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men just don't work out.  Sharon had purchased groceries at Safeway to get the discount on gas, but when they're charging 10 cents more per gallon than a couple of other stations, it just doesn't pan out.  Oh well.
Just after we left Jerry and Mary called and asked us if we needed any help to get on the road.  They apologized for not asking us last night.  It wasn't necessary, we handled everything just fine.
On the way I called my sister, brother and mother just to check in and let them know how things were going.  We hadn't talked to them since last weekend so they appreciated the update.
We stopped in Quartzsite to eat lunch.  Not at an eatery but just off the side of the road.  It was time for lunch and they're were plenty of places to stop.  It didn't seem that Q was very busy quite yet.  It'll start to fill up with people over the next few weeks.
We continued after lunch and rolled into Desert Hot Springs about 2 PM.  We gained an hour crossing the timeline.
We spotted Henry Leduc, our friend from Canada on the way into the campground and he followed us as we were looking for a site.  As soon as we stopped he was there "Johnny on the spot" and helped Sharon until she was finished setting up.  He went home and got Arlene and we sat and talked for hours.  During the visit Corky and Deb Zimmermann, from near home, stopped by and joined the conversation.  Corky had called us earlier and offered to help us set up, but I never got the message until after they left.  Even so the offer was quite generous.
We were both wiped by 7PM and we headed for bed.  I knew I'd be up in the middle of the night but I couldn't keep my eyes open for another second. I was right when I woke up and couldn't sleep any more by midnight.  I just got up and got dressed and by that time Sharon was awake with a coughing spasm and I sent her into the bedroom for the rest of the night.  And consequently, here I sit, typing my Journal in the middle of the night.  I'll probably get a cat nap or two in for the rest of the night.

After hitting the rack early last night I was awake at about 12:15.  Knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep any more I got up and got dressed.  When I came out of the bedroom Sharon asked me what was going on.  I explained to her that I wasn't sleepy and was getting up and she should go to the bedroom and finish her night in there.  She got up for good about 7:45 and I had taken a couple of catnaps on the couch since last night.  We both were better rested after the experience.
After Breakfast Sharon got ready and headed off to church.  By this time my Sunday shows were on TV.  Fox News Sunday, This week with George Stephanopoulus and Meet the :Press.  Sharon was back from church by the time they ended and she went to the office to check us in.  We would be staying for almost 2 weeks and we were buying Wi-Fi so we could get and retrieve our e-mail.
By lunchtime we were all set with the campground and we decided to take a walk over to Henry and Arlene LeDuc's to visit for awhile.  They're site was just one road away from us and I made it without much trouble.  I stayed for about and hour or so and when I left, Sharon stayed and finished her beer, and Henry walked me back home.
We had Chicken Strips, Fried Potatoes and a salad for supper tonight.  They were all quite good and one of my favorites, so I guess Sharon is not tired of waiting on me just yet.  It looks like we'll be enjoying Wi-Fi for the next few weeks so we shouldn't have any problem publishing the Journal.
